just a question, my cards still look like the old format when i tile 4 or less tables, but when i tile more i get the 2nd screenshot. Is that happening to everyone or does everyone always have the same skin as in the 2nd screenshot?

that happends to everyone. i guess they need this kind of cards because the svg format doesnt scale to smaller sizes very good. thats why they should think about a better solution.

also ive seen disappearing hole/boardcards alot which is because of the svg format.

obv ftp is gonna say: "restart/reinstall - its all your fault"

i didnt know how to tell ftp because they wont listen to a single mail to the support so i thought ill start a petition. tell all your friends

Keep us updated, although I don't have enough information to know if this is really for the better or not.

While you and Fozzy could argue incessantly that it is, your opinions are brutally biased since you sell your decks for $12/shot and they're all in PNG.

In any case the SVG stuff is a significant step over the old PNG stuff, and the only reasonable argument for going back to PNG is if the client could render the images better than the current SVG stuff (which is completely unproven, although it would be great to see it happen).

The WORST thing would be to go BACK to the client they had BEFORE the update. It looked so awful and pixelated it made me want to

At least the thing looks good if I'm only playing one, huge table now. And that single table will look good on a 17" screen or a 30" screen.


Also, fwiw, most of the people who "/signed" this thread don't know the difference between SVG and PNG anyway.

Are you serious? 1 table? lol I like 6-8 table at all times. I also am one of the ones that buys stuff from these guys, their work is great and well worth the money.....and I signed this also.

i clearly want to say that this thread has nothing to do with commercial stuff.

the only thing i hate is that the cards look so ugly under default table size. im speaking here about the original ftp cards (lores and normal).

i dont care if they go back to png (which was ok imo). if they can change their client to show up with a good quality on cards under default size it can be the .hf8sadhfasdh - format.

This is the case, and it has been proven. All you have to do is look at old screens of the chips compared to the chips now thru the new client. The PNG decks were proven in the old client to look better at small table sizes, than these SVG decks do thru the new client. By the transitive property of poker graphics mods, the new client should display PNG cards better than the old client.

Even if it only displayed the new PNG decks, in the new client on small tables, as good as the old PNG decks looked thru the old client, it would be a marked improvement over the way the LoRes decks look currently IMO.
