I am playing on a Dell E510 desktop with a dual core processor (guessing 2.2 ghz) and have been having major lockups while running 15-20 tables. He also is running Poker Tracker, AcesHUD, Stars Auto-Reload AHK script, and a word and excel document for tracking and notes. Typically the computer just slows down, mouse barely moves (major lag) and he has to shut down. I thought is was a RAM issue but I just jumped him from 1 gb to 3 gb so that isn't the problem. It doesn't seems like his processor usage is out of control when I check with ctrl-alt-dlt so I am wondering if his 7200 RPM hard drive could be the bottleneck. Also feel like this is probably a PT problem with the large imports (is it better to import every minute or leave a couple minutes between imports?). Any ideas on both hardware and software causes would be great. Thanks.

Which version of PT are you using? If it is PT2, then this is the cause of the problem. PT2 is very CPU hog when it comes to importing HH. A suggestion is to use another PC to run PT2 to import the HH. Or wait for PT3 to become official, if you cannot wait, get a different application such as Holdem Manager. If you really want to improve the performance of importing HH, try getting RAID 0 or RAID 5 configuration in your PC. This will improve the writing and reading of HH.

Have you tried not using the auto-reload script with the same setup?

I don't have huge problems with freezes but this little tip nevertheless made all my apps work smoother. Thanks.
