Just curious if there's some software out there that does this: have recorded video files on players at your tables. For example, you call a pot sized river bet and the player has the nuts or a stone cold bluff. Rather than taking detailed notes on the play, wouldn't it be invaluable to have a video clip of that play and be able to access it when facing this player in the future. This would eliminate the need for note taking on opponents, if one could simply have a video archive on as many opponents as possible. Instead of clicking "notes" by each player, you could have x amount of video files on him, and refer to them when needed. Is there some type of software out there such as this?

You're comment shows a lack of intelligence or reading comprehension. What i'm suggesting is actullay closer to live play. While playing live, players recall past situations because they remember them visually. Being that many players play in excess of 100 tables a day, that is unrealistic so I thought this was an interesting topic.

You reply/request shows lack of intelligence. The storage alone for keeping all these small video files on your computer would quickly fill your hard drive. The processing power required to index all those files, retrieve it, and play it back all within a 15s (your time to act) is next to impossible.

A small note is quick to read and is more than enough.

i.e. "NLxx, ultralag will PSB the river with nuts instead of smaller vbet. limps ep pp. minraise draws"

You think you can watch all those videos in enough time to decide? And what about when multitabling?

Isn't it a lot quicker to read a note than have to watch a vid of the hand? How would you have enough time to watch all those vids while you're playing?

I actually record all my sessions to dvd and index them. Then, when a player tries to steal my blind, i hit the time-bank and look up in an excel file all clips I have on him. I then go to my dvd shelf, find the relevant dvd's and load them in. After I finish watching, I post the hand on 2+2. I then take a snack break and come back to see what others have said. I then usually fold, because 54o isn't that great against a position raise.
