I have used the follow screen sharing programs:

Unyte
Mikogo
BeamYourScreen

just append .com to the end of each if you are interested in checking them out yourself.

The first I used was Unyte, the trial version. This was all I knew and it sorta served its purpose.

Then a student showed me BeamYourScreen. It was 10 times better than Unyte but kinda pricey at $40 per month.

Then a friend suggested Mikogo. It is exactly equivalent to BeamYourScreen, only it is free. It even looks as though it may be the exact same software package.

Im always skeptical when something seems too good to be true and was wondering how Mikogo can offer their product for free when a competitor charges $40 per month?

Teamviewer PWNS

And this thread has been done, a few times.

I use TV for customer support, as well as poker sweats, and can actually do remote support and control a customers machine. It makes explaining/fixing mods or any tech/poker related issue so simple. They even have a no-install Quick Support version for those of your relatives that are a bit inept with pc's.

I would try CrossLoop(.com), from what I've tried it was easier to use and faster. Oh and free.

It doesnt get much easier than Teamviewer, although Crossloop probably is. It seemed too simple, imo - no real options or adjustments. I didn't actually try it, so cant comment on video or lag, but Teamviewer is typically almost non-existent latency. I have tried others (AIM Pro, MSN SharedView Beta) - and always go back to TV.

Actually, out of the lot Team Viewer is the least laggy... it also has a lot of nice display options. It's a little more complex to get a session going, but overall it's the best program I've used.

QFT

I think least amount of lag is most important factor, for poker sweats - as well as remote support.

I've been using Mikogo for quite a while. The only thing that bothered me about the program was it doesn't detect multiple displays, so you can only watch whatever is on your/their primary display.

I'll give Team Viewer a shot. One thing I really liked about Mikogo was that you can switch the presenter almost instantly (1 click away without any reconnections).

New teamviewer beta has support for multiple monitors, afaik. I only have 1 monitor. And u can 1 click to swap sides also.
