Hi folks,

I have two bits of news for those who've played on the network with Vista and had an issue after 1.5 hours or so of playing (multitabling).

1) Looks like the culprit is that folks playing on Vista don't have Vista's Service Pack 1. Get it here:

2) We have a new build for those who'd like to try it with the new Service Pack to see if this improves your experience as it has for many of our beta group so far:

-- link removed, outdated --

PM me if you get the issue again, please.

Doug

Grummin, thanks for posting here

any chance you could officially confirm/deny the use of AutoHotkey script while playing cake Poker is considered a "cheat program" and will get you banned? http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...light=cake+ahk

You may want to re-title this thread. I would have no clue this is in reference to Cake software, unless I opened it.

also, do not like that url - looks way suspicious

i can see cakepoker.com loads things from there when you visit, but players would normally be ill-advised to download a poker client from an unusual address... please host on a cakepoker.com domain?

ALERT! Do NOT use version 102!

Hi all,

Please use this link now and grab the last version of the game:

http://ckpn.cachefly.net/FullcakeSetup.1.0.100.exe

The 102 version has a flaw which one of the members found that will seriously impact your game. Thank you kindly to the member who found this very unique flaw.

Thanks,
Doug

I removed the links to v.102... what was this flaw? funny or dangerous?

Funny as it would strand you at the ring games, but ONLY if you did x, y, z. We did build a new one if anyone would like to take a pass at it. Again, only if you've had issues with Vista after a long time of play:

http://ckpn.cachefly.net/FullcakeSetup.1.0.102.exe

This version has not yet passed QA. You MUST have Service Pack 1 installed on Vista in order to attempt to see if this works on your PC. I'm posting this in a few places in the hopes that players who'd reported this issue want to give it a shot.

can someone confirm that these links are good/safe. I have a lot of problems with cake and vista, almost folded AA preflop just now because of it. Id like to fix it but I dont want to hit some bad links

Probably safe - Grummin is/was cakepoker rep on these boards but went very quiet after cake launched.

The most I can do to see if they are safe is notice cakepoker.com does indeed load media from ckpn.cachefly.net.

It'd be good if Grummin could email a supermod like Mike Haven, and get a custom title to denote his authenticity

These things can never be 100% sure - he could have left his account logged in at some random internet cafe, for example. Email cake support with a link to this thread to allay your concerns, post results please
