Ok, so have I got this right?? The stars updates have now put an end to people datamining and offering these services??

I hope so, It's all starting to get a bit silly if you ask me.

@Michael_T: you should consider putting the handhistory .txt files in the zip without having to open more zips or without using subdirectories in the zip.

If all the text files were directly in the "root" of the zip, it would save me much time to unpack them into my HH folder.

If one collects the hands histories, one has the copyright for offering that exact pack. If someone else collects such copyrighted packs and repacks them, then he up to has the copyright to that/those new packs. Where the line goes exactly is the matter of the law, but that's basically it. Plus there's one or two more things to think about; the poker site and the players in those hand histories, but as they are performing on a public place, the observer has the rights to those hand histories, except if they are wrongly used, against the other rights of the observed persons or the site itself.

Stars Servers are a public place?

Hi r0bb3d, thanks for the feedback. What you are describing is something we've only done with a few levels were we have included more than one level or where we include pot limit in the download. There should now only be one unzipping to be done, but we preserve the sub directories as some people may not wish to import all the levels included. We'll keep your feedback in mind when we make our next set of changes.

Hi grizy. If we feel there is enough demand for it we could certainly give some consideration to adding. Again thanks for the feedback we'll have a look into it and maybe in the not too distant future its something we could add.

Thanks Michael for the free hand histories, no problem downloading and importing into poker tracker 3.

It was a pain to click on the download link only to be taken to another page where I had to click on another download link, a direct link to the file would have allowed me to use a download manager and save a lot of time.

At the moment I'm a micro grinder so I doubt I would pay a lot for your service, its not unusual for a grinder to play 5-10,000 hands a day so a lot of us have pretty large databases already. but using the histories to help me move up a level is going to be invaluable, thanks.

If you could get hand histories for sit-n-go' and MTT', I would defiantly be willing to pay a fee.
good luck with your company

No problem ishin. People are always going to be mining no matter what, we like to see ourselves as leveling the playing field for everyone and not just those with the resources or contacts to mine.

On the issue of clicking on the level you want to download and then clicking the download button, it was done for technical reasons to reduce server load as we were unsure what kind of traffic we'd have to cope with.

I'm not quite sure I follow how it prevents you from using a download manager?

hi
I'd love for PLO to be added
could you PM me on how you run your operation, I'm curious especially w/ regard to the relatively recent Stars update restricting observable tables etc.

Hi DefiNe,

Adding PLO will be a huge job, we won't be able to add it just at the moment but it is on the todo list
