as for now my main goal has been to get better in any way possible but i need to build my bank roll up a little before i can experiment with things.
Coming this thursday I plan to play around 6 SNG's at a time and to play hands that mainly consist of A2xx and A3xx. i think doing this should get me to the money in many situations but am wondering if i played this way in cash games if i got the same outcome. I was thinking of the 12 dollar sng's or
PL O8 of .25/.50 -.50/1
I'm a pretty solid tourny player but have never tried SNG's so any advice on which one would be more steady...
thanks!

Hey levi how goes. i would have to say that playing sngs and sticking to a formula of just A2 and A3 isn't going to be too successful for ya over a long duration. I mean first of all its not a guarantee u are going to get those hands and two even if u do its not like they are a lock to win. Your overall goal is to try and scoop pots and in sngs u are going to have more aggressive opponents resulting in you having to gamble a bit more.
Your overall strategy in an sng should not be any preset gameplan as you are going to have to adjust to the players at your table. Some of them are going to be tight players and others can be maniacs so your overall hand selection should be adjusted to each and every situation.
It seems for most players in the pokerstars sngs that they approach the games with a tight image at the beginning of them and then proceed to get aggressive as the blinds rise trying to pick on people just waiting for those types of hands u described.
My point being just try to keep an open mind to a variety of hands and if u are first into a hand try and put in a raise with a hand u might normally limp, especially in later blind levels. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

levi--profitablity results from a number of variables but foremost among them is you must be a winning player. If your goal is to earn $ then play the one you are winning at the most, which is something you determine for yourself. And then, by adjusting the stakes you choose to play and the number of tables you can maximize profitabilty.
if you are not yet a proven winner, and there is no shame in that, then what you are doing is playing to learn, gathering experience and determining whether you may be/become a winning player.
Sngs and Cash require different skills/strategies both beyond just hand selection and hand values. Aggression is also quite different among the two forms. Its certainly possible to be good at one and not the other, you have to determine that also for yourself.
In my experience, SNGs are easier on the bankroll, you get alot more experience for the $ and your loss is limited to the buy in. Whereas in a cash game you can easily lose your 1st buy-in, which is likely to be more than the sng buy in, in a single hand. So i believe you need to assume more risk playing cash and also have to have better control over your emotions.
the stakes at which you chose to play are also something that you determine for yourself, but my experience tells me you'd certainly lose choosing to just play A2 and A3 hands at the stakes you mentioned, both sng and cash. I also don't understand why 6 tables at a time, which for me personally is very difficult, and would severly diminish my ability to play well, but perhaps you already multitable.
I hope i was helpful and I wish you luck.

hi levii,
if u play sit n gos here is my strategy....play tight aggressive early and try to bust the donks....but this is the real key to winning sit n gos...when the blinds get 100-200 if u play any hand u have to pot it...predator gave a good reason this works in his stoxpoker video...hands run so close preflop in omaha 8 that anytime u shove your fold equity makes up for the small underdog u might be....so remember 100-200 on, if its playable its raisable...also i would suggest playing non turbos to build a bankroll because turbos are very swingy and take a higher bankroll than non turbos
