Won some ticket playing rush a few weeks ago, then won a main event entry on it tonight!!!!

Tough decision to play or take the money. Unfortunately it was the 10k package instead of the 12k that gives you a room as well.

Leaning towards playing though.

fwiw i played last year and regretted it, mostly because i played terrible. However, I did play really bad and still made day 3 so if you play well you should be fine butttt I did suckout AJ vs AA in a button vs SB situation.

bw,

yes it is soft but you still have to fade the thousands of good players. Just one or two good players at your table can cause tons of problems. Also,it is a 10k event. Try to play it and tell me the buy in amount never affected your decision making. 10k is a lot of money and the difference between 10k and 50k or something isn't worth the risk imo and that is the far more liekly cash spot than 300k+. Not trying to say the value isn't there but if someone can use the 10k, I'm saying it is better to take it instead of play.

edit: however,you still should come out for a few days. Come play some non-10k tourneys and hang out. Not trying to discourage celebrating

Why not go to vegas and play the PLO8 events? You could play several of them and presumably it's a game you enjoy more or are better at?

By all means I agree that what you are talking abt is br mgt. Im lucky I have sold off ~1/2 my action for 6 or 8 events (including ME) and that makes it easier. But obv 10k is still 10k and if end up with some balla on your left it can be tough.

Can't get out there for those because of work obligations. I am plenty comfortable playing holdem. I think most PLo8 regs are at least above average holdem players, but that comment may be for another thread.

Congrats!!!

I got your message about this. You should be down here playing the 5/10 5 card plo8 game. There is some good action at times and the game is running almost non stop.

Keep me posted on when you are coming to town. I am playing cash at Rio pretty much non stop and then the pl8 tournaments. You've got my number and looking forward to having a couple of drinks with you.
