People got annoyed and found the whole thing ponderous.
I know the OP says one week per round, but how about 4 days instead?

TIMING
A faster tourney is far preferable to one that drags out. but for this to work people with time consuming obligations; such as jobs, families, hobbies, etc. who may be living in different time zones have to find a specified time when they are both available to play poker. everyone should be able to find time given a week, hence the 7 days.
It is encouraged to complete the matches sooner rather then later, because if they can all be completed and reported in less then 7 days we will re-pool and continue. as the field gets smaller it should hopefully get faster, and perhaps the time allocation shortened, but at the onset I think it sensible to start with 7 days alloted. If an individaul is causing delays, when it seems reasonable..a forfiet will be incurred in order to keep the challenge moving. No one wants a round to take 11 days.
if your 'strategy' is to not play the match--all 3 sngs-- at one time, then i believe it would be proper ettiquite to inform your opponent prior to starting and be sure he is willing and able to schedule other times. but unforeseen things do come up in life, and i believe there will be times when it is unavoidable that a match that was intended to be completed at one time isn't.
if that was tl;dnr then what strikeR said!
