Again might be playing too much plo hi.

Villain seems reggy, tho he is playing loose 35/25 after 300+ hands. He's cbetting 69%. Also, I don't think I'd seen him open to 2.5x pf at this point.

I figured given those stats I'd just take it down on the flop a lot. When he called I figured I get a fold from A3xx on the turn. Possibly too optimistic? Maybe bet more?

On the river I didn't want to compound my errors further, but possibly I should go all out and jam?

Thoughts?

He's probably got A3 with a set or smaller spades. I'd never be folding that on the turn , as you can both catch your low, and bust someone who's dry-acing.

Kittens do you always just assume a guy playing 45/25 has the nuts? I think there are way more combos of other stuff than A3 with spades.

Almost any A3 with a high, that I bet, I'd be 3bet/shoving most of the time (on the flop for 100bb). The rest I'd be cursing myself for not checking back, and while I might call I think it's the worst option (unless I had a plan to call to the river 100% of the time).

Saying that, I've no idea what villain can take this line with. A882/A886 ? Calling two streets with just a low draw, and then folding is horrific. Calling two streets with a flush and then folding when the low hits, at least as bad.

Unless that range is really nutted that is v.spewy. Also, by just 3betting the flop you take away the opportunity for someone to bluff.

What range do you put villain on that bet/calls that flop?

Yeh, I check that flop a lot with high nut hands and bad to mediocre A3 hands. Same on a lot of boards which are locked and I have a nut low draw, without reads.

And, yeh, all the air hands disappear when the 3bet goes in ... but I don't expect most people to be 100% bluffing a lot here, but a lot of hands they semi-bluff with they don't like folding. Obv. if I have a read on "hero" as insane then I can value call down.
Also I expect a lot more villains to bluff bet turn when you check behind on flop.

Also misread the river action, I thought you'd bet river and villain folded ... which is why I was so confused about villain's line, need more tea before posting.

I don't think people bet then call two more bets in on the flop and turn of a monochrome flop with a naked nut low draw

I mean I'm sure there's the odd person that does, but you have to assume that they normally either have some high chance to go with their low draw, or they have a strong high hand (set or flush) they're being stubborn with.

MP pretty much never has something like AQ42 rainbow with this flop and turn play.

Ok, so Flop c/r fine. Turn bet bad once called or fine if I bet say 12?

Played fine. Turn is questionable against said player though. I am not sure I would continue there though. Line taken is a definite check fold on river though.
