Stack sizes:
Hero: $25.07
SB: $38.80

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with 5 6 A A
5 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, Button folds, SB raises to $2.8, BB folds, Hero raises to $8.65, SB calls.

I think I wouldn't raise that if there were some limpers in front of me. But first in from the CO it's a must raise for me. Now SB seems to have a hand too or thinks that I just want to steal, so I repot trying to take the pot right now or getting everything in preflop. As SB just calls he doesn't seem to have the other aces.

Flop: 5 K 4 ($17.55, 2 players)
SB bets $16.68, Hero calls $16.42 and is all-in .

Really ugly flop. My emergency A5 low draw gets counterfeited, but that's not the worst since A5 or A6 both aren't that great. The question is, can he have flopped the flush or is he just cbetting his A2whatever trying to push me out.

During that hand I didn't really think about which better hands he could have flopped (except a flush), maybe kings up with low draw, low draw plus straight draw/wrap, and as the pot already was too big imo I made a rather crying call.

Is there any other option? Could you have folded there after investing 1/3 of your stack? Should I not have 4bet preflop as this is just shouting out loudly that I have aces?

SB's stats were 70% vpip and 7% pfr for that session btw.

Spoiler:

Turn: 7 ($51.5, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $51.5)

River: A ($51.5, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $51.5)

Results:
Final pot: $51.5
SB shows As 3d 2c Qs

Btw - hey, I am centurion.

Imo after he reraises you to $2.80 you should call in position and see what the flop brings so that you still have control over the pot size postflop. Of course he probably has a worse hand now than you but he almost definately has a better low draw. You want to try to hit flops that at the very least likely counterfeit him, are dry, and/or are possibly high/semi high. Flops like J96 and 29K are very good. Monotone flops that dont make you a flush are dangerous. But if you have pot control you can raise him if he fires the flop to pretend you have the flush. The way you played it, you have no more options, you left them at the door as it were. Imo.

Your preflop play was good even though it gave away your hand. In effect SB payed too much for that information. Given the effective stacks ($25) he should not invest much more than $5 to play against aces.

You also got it right on the flop IMO.

IMO, w/ your hand no reason to escalate it that much PF, unless you are very sure you can get it all in PF. Yes you have more equity w/ that hand against most of Villain's range, but that's assuming you are AI PF. If you didn't 4-bet pf, it would have been much easier for you to get away from your hand on the flop.
