A problem for y'all to help me with:

6/12 O8 game at Garden City Casino, about 6 hours ago.

- Board: Q7Q49 rainbow
- I'm holding: AQ** (the ** doesn't matter other than to say that I didn't hit one of my kickers, but I did have the nut QQQ holding.)
- 3 people still in the hand. However, I mistakenly believe that it's heads up.
- I am 2nd of 3 to act (though again, I believe that I'm 2nd of 2).
- Player 1, who has been betting into me all the way, checks the river.
- I decide to check too. (Maybe I'm giving up value against a worse queen, but his play is also consistent with 77xx, 99xx, or 44xx, and he may be checking the end for fear that I have a bigger boat. I'd say it's a break-even check long term. So what the hell, why not.)
- I flip over my AQ** and hear "TIME TIME TIME!!!" from the dealer. Oops. I conceal my cards as quickly as I can.
- Player 3 now BETS.
- Player 1 folds.
- I immediately realize that my premature flipping has suddenly made the situation much more complex than it would normally be and freeze up like a deer in the headlights.

Here is the question: what do I do with my hand, keeping in mind that I'M NOT SURE whether or not Player 3 saw my cards?

Player 3's bet could mean any of several things:
- He saw my cards, and knows that he has the winner, so obviously he bets.
- He did NOT see my cards, and is betting because he believes his hand is best.
- He saw my cards, and knows that he holds a loser, but assumes that I'll correctly assume that he saw my cards and hopes that I'll think "he'd only bet a winner" and fold.
- He did NOT see my cards, and doesn't know whether his hand is best, but assumes that I'll wrongly assume that he DID see my cards, and hopes that I'll think "he'd only bet a winner" and fold.

Not knowing what to do, and the pot being large, I called. I'd rather make a $12 mistake than a $100+ mistake.

As it turned out, I had the best hand, and he hadn't seen my cards, which I know because just after I called he said "if you have ace-queen you win". I immediately flipped over my cards. He mucked. Technically he should have shown first but obviously I was the bonehead and decided I should do the gentlemanly thing.

Did I do the right thing calling that last bet? Was my thinking process correct?

Why is it that PL1000 looks like PL5 in some of these hand histories?

Because people are just as lost at all buyins, just less of them usually. Also, people level themselves a lot. I think everyone should just play PL1k and PL2k.

Lol the numbers of average pot atm. On one table it is 100 $ on the other two 6 max tables 10 $. All three at the sam 0.5/1 $ level. Only reason for this is one player.

Damn now he is gone.
