meh pre flop is real bad in omaha8. you want to be insta mucking that hand. as played i guess flop and turn are fine although there is really not going to be a single river that you will like other than a low non club so i might just flat turn as well. basically playing that hand in 08 is gonna equal a lot of trouble. you should be looking to play a2, and a3 hands.

on a side note, did this happen in the new "7 game" because i am ***** in love with it

Dont play such hands preflop

However it was played perfectly postflop IMO. If it was checked to you on the river by the way, you should value bet.

Middle cards are sixes, sevens, eights, and nines. This starting hand has four middle cards. Since the cards are coordinated, this is not a bad hand for Omaha-high. (For Omaha-high it's roughly better than three out of four starting hands and worse than one out of four starting hands).

However, it's not a good hand for fixed-limit Omaha-8.

The standard rule, and it's a very good rule, is when you're playing high/low split games, tend to avoid starting hands with two or more middle cards at least until you get a lot better and know the game well. There are a few exceptions for Omaha-8 and I started to list them, but I think it's better if I don't.

You should not be voluntarily seeing the flop with this hand.

Yes it did! This is why I have to get certain games better. I love it too. I actually think I made the most money in Razz in the few sessions I have played. Love throwing in PLO and NLHE it is great.

Thanks for the feedback Buzz. I am pretty inexperienced in O/8 and PLO, stud games are not so bad and of course there is hold em. In Omaha of any sort I have a hard time knowing where I am at in the hand. I mean is it just bet the nuts when you got 'em and don't when you don't? Seems that way.

Is there any good like actual books on O/8 or mixed games that you have read? I don't really know how to separate good information from the bad.

Fold this pre 100% of the time in LO8; once you reach the flop, though, I play it as you do. On the river I get mildly annoyed, but then realize I should've folded pre anyway.
