Make the switch? Make the switch?

So I am exclusively a limit O8 player when I play Omaha. I crush the live games I play in and do fairly OK online up to mid stakes, but haven't had a bankroll to the play the 30/60 or higher in a while. I've been tinkering around playing LO8 HU lately and doing well with this too. What I want to know is, would it be more worthwhile to switch and start playing PL or NL O8, or is grinding out the limit games still worthwhile? I have a pretty solid RB deal.

thanks

What do you mean by crushing the games? Stats? Personally i find limit harder than PL/NL, but that just may be my style. I would suggest just learning some PL/NL and it may also help improve your Fixed Limit game. The game is really quite different.

Somewhat different games. You would need to play enough to see whether you had a better feel for the pot limit or no limit format, and evaluate your edge (I'm assuming that by 'worthwhile' you mean profitable rather than fun).
Personally I like pot limit better for various reasons, not least that you can more frequently make it a mistake for people to draw against you. I hate the situation you get in a loose limit game where five players are still in a bloated pot and you have no way to defend your high against the 2/3 of the deck that will make someone a better hand. Also I feel like I have to play tighter in limit, though that may be an error in thinking on my part.

Obv you are the person who can best answer that question, and if you want to find out then take a shot at unquestionably affordable stakes. Just be careful when making the switch that you don't draw in a four way pot to a naked nut low on a dangerous board, or whatever other thin draws are still profitable in limit, as PL and NL games require a much different set of SHs. I recommend being at least somewhat more familiar with high hand play from Omaha as well before really jumping too deep into PLO8. That said, PLO8 is by leaps and bounds my favorite game, so much so that if I can always find good tables I never play other games. Come on in.
