Pre Flop: Hero is SB with K A A 9
1 fold, CO calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, BB raises, CO calls, Hero calls

Flop: (6 SB) 3 K 4 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, CO calls, Hero calls

Turn: (4.5 BB) J (3 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, CO calls

everybody's been drawing light this game, but BB's been pretty solid in his preflop range. but still yet.. that turn card merits a raise?

Assuming Villain is betting his hand rather than betting what he thinks you don't have, I think it's most likely the raise represents a picked up nut club flush draw.

There's a distinct possibility Villain has a pair of aces (just as Hero does), and if so, Villain has the ace of clubs (and very possibly another club).

Assuming Villain's pre-flop raising range could include any four cards of ten and above, the turn raise could also indicate a set of jacks, top two (kings and jacks), or a picked up Broadway draw.

The raise could also indicate an initially slow-played set of kings. I know people who wait until the turn to make a move with a flopped set.

BB had no opportunity to raise the flop. So it's also possible that the turn card is not the reason for his raise. He might even be raising despite of the turn card.

I don't understand the turn bet into 2 players, especially against opponents who draw light. They won't fold and I wonder whether the Aces will hold up often enough.

betting the jack is a good card for me mostly because i feel i'm getting the most equity in the long-run by betting vs c/calling.

Why are you betting the turn if your hand will most likely lose at showdown?

Check-fold flop. Seriously wtf. This isn't hold'em.
