Seated with Joe on 2/4 NLO8 earlier and this is the 3rd or 4th time I have played with him now. I have played mostly NLO8 with him and from what I have seen he really struggles with reading players and their cards on several occasions. I have also seen him push with very questionable hands such as a 2nd nut low with no high on a board of 234J and reraising players who then will come over the top of him and he folds. I was curious what others thought of his play.

I've played 5/10 PLO8 with both Hachem and Raymer and they both had very questionable play. Hachem ran ridiculously well, Raymer, not so much. Let's just say, I'm sure PLO8 regs are eager to sit with either one.

I've watched him play quite a bit over the last week. He does open fold to a reraise often. Regardless of his play, I believe his presence at the tables has to be good for the game.

His presence is very good for the tables and I don't know how you can say that about NLO8. It is VERY juicy when you are running well. Kravchenko comes across as the most knowledgable of the pros playing NLO8 or PLO8.

I'd like to personally thank all of the 'pros' for starting, and joining PL/NL O8 games on Stars & FTP. If it wasn't for them in the 2/4+ games I don't think a lot of them would ever start. Especially since I play after 2am MST, & most O8 players (incl myself a bit) are horrible nits (or at least don't like playing HU to get a game going).

For the rake they generate?

I've often wondered how internet NLO would be, I assume the day to day variance would be pretty intense (the long run may be very sweet though).

I have played 2/5 NLO live before and I can tell you it was fun and pots were HUGE! I wonder how much of a hit PLO would take?

Can I say this more bluntly - there ain't no way in hell I am ever playing NLO! Absolutely absurd! NLO8 is bad enough, but the variance associated with NLO Hi??? Ridiculous. Tell you what, though, those no-flop playin' mo-fos would be in for a rude awakening, pushing their bad AAxx for 300 bbs just to find out they're like 28% in a 3-way pot. Just sayin'.

Playing post flop with deep stacks is hard and is not easily systemized (is that a word?) through charts and memorization of hand values.
