was invited to a dealers choice home game that I never played in before, I don't know anyone in the game except 1 person and I don't even know him that well.

I'm the button and call PLO8, 7 handed blinds are 1/2 max buyin is $400

in non-holdem games there is a ton of limping at the table, a ton of limp calling, and if someone raises a lot of the table comes along... the only player who i think is a thinking/ good player is the 1 i'm (eventually) up against

Relevant stacks
Me: ~$550 I cover all
Main villain: ~$375

UTG makes it $7, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, I call with A2JJ, Villain Calls, BB folds

flop ($36) 78Q

Villain bets out $27
CO calls the $27
I call the $27

turn ($117) 78Q 8

he checks, CO checks, I check back

before the river is dealt Villain bets pot

river is the 5 CO folds

Hero?

Villain is a dorky looking dude, blonde hair wears glasses 22 years old is a teachers aid who graduated SUNY Binghamton last May, he seems to know what he's doing he says he plays on full tilt a lot FWIW, he at one point called me a lagtard (which i admittedly am sometimes)

neither to your answer, but standard call, never fold here. fwiw, i don't mind a repot on the flop.

I actually did take a while and think before just flatting, i figured by repotting im folding out too many hands i want to stay in there

i'm interested!! what are the hand ranges you are putting villian and CO on, which of these hands did you think would fold to a raise, but you want to remain in?

I would think "folding out" both on the flop --a $117 pot--would be a good outcome.
Doesn't getting it heads-up make your overpair stronger? Or is the implied odds of 2 rather than 1 villian if you hit the nut flush your concern?(but will they pay you off it a heart hits?)

Definate call. Villian has the boat with a 34 low probably. You get half and enjoy.

Definitely call as played but I am firmly in the jamming the flop camp. The pot is $90 and you have only contributed $7 so far. Everyone folding is a good result.

I would jam the flop and see naked low draws pay to chase half. As played just call.

I'd call. Although you never know for sure, it looks a lot like Villain may have made a full house on the turn. (The early bet is possibly a bluff, but if it is, you don't pick up anything by re-raising with your two pairs, jacks and eights). There's a slight danger of getting quartered for low, but I'd call anyhow.

I was basically being greedy, I was pretty sure if a heart came I could still get value from my hand since i was up against 2 opponents because I was certain flush/combo straight draws 2pair etc was in range also, there are not too many scare cards that are gonna scare me from getting it all in on the turn (yes I know my equity decreases and the 8c was actually 1 of the worst cards I could have saw)
