Had a fun table most of the day. I felted Jeff Madsen and a few others.

Ended up with double avg. stack (> 11x starting) as 126/732 players return tomorrow (110 paid).

I am chip leader at my table to start day two, but three of four other large stacks are David ODB Baker, James Dempsey, and David Nowakowski.

Guess Allen Le is pretty good at PLO8 eh?

I've never played with him but have watched him at wsop and commerce mix games and was impressed by his quiet confidence. Seems like a humble dude who's really thoughtful.

Glad you busted madsen btw. He busted me in the 3k last year and I think there's a 50% chance he saw my cards on an earlier hand that cost half my stack (his line didn't make sense and I wasn't as careful protecting my cards as I should have been w steep rail and tight seating at FT).

Guess so.

Anyone played with ODB or James Dempsey?

Scott Clements is very humble as well. Besides him and Allan as the top two, field still includes Marco Johnson #5, Humberto Brenes #10, Rainer Kempe #15, David ODB Baker #18, Michael Noori #22, Stephen Johnson, James Dempsey, David Levi, Phil Laak, Mike Matusow, Chip Jett, and Andrew Akkari with better than average stacks. Should be a fun day two and hope to run on for a long time.

I already had multiples of his slightly less than starting stack when he sat down in middle of day, so it was no great feat, but glad I could exact some unknown revenge for you.
I raised from button with AJT3ss and he called from blind, so was HU.
Flop was T52r, we GII OTF and I scooped.

Good luck everyone!

I'm guessing it was Angry Juice that made our table a party!

He told me I would finish second... then when a bigger stack sat to my left, he told him the same thing!

My roll ended in the second half of day two when a couple of larger stacks were seated to my immediate left. Being fairly card dead and rarely catching a flop didn't help either. I will need some serious run good to make any noise from here, but at least I have a few chips and a chair for day 3. It's been a blast so far, so can't complain much, no matter how I finish. Will root for Stephen Johnson after I bust, but expect to play in DSE 600 Big O tomorrow, then definitely the 3k PLO8 on Thursday.

GL mate, take it down!

Other than you, doesn't look like too much success for 2p2ers. Saw Angryjuice min-cashed and Ichbin went on a deep run but don't recognise anyone else. Hopefully saving the run-good for the $3k

Thanks. Angryjuice is like a roaming one man party, cool cat! He made this tourney even more memorable.

The last few levels did not go my way, but maybe a new day will bring better luck. I had to make a lot of marginal/tough laydowns late in the day:

* I called from BB, HU with PF min-raiser, who was weak-tight older dude that was stretching rubber ropes with each hand/arm at table. I had a marginal high hand that includes KQhh. Flop is T94hh and he checked. I bet the pot of 9k and he raises me pot to 36k. I had to put him on a rather strong range there, which often includes Axhh, so I fold and show him KQhh. He looks baffled, turns over his hand (something like 9823hh) and declares "I thought you were making a position bet."

* Unknown had just sat down to my immediately left and had me well covered. I had mostly been making 2-2.5x raises PF, but pot to 21k from CO or HJ. He repots to 63k from HJ or BTN and I had to lay down AKK4ss. I figured I was either a small favorite or (very often) a large dog to AAL*, so had to tank/fold there. I asked him at the end of day two, and he said he had AKQ2ss.

* Towards the end of day, I had one of short stacks and it folds around to SB, who completes, and I check BB with 4478dd. Flop comes 456hh and SB bets out. I folded, as I was likely being freerolled in many cases and at best getting my blind back.

I went card dead at the end and everyone else was doubling/tripling up.

I couldn't believe that four handed pot with an all low board checked through from flop to river.

The only two hands I considered playing after dinner break were A(T2)9 and (A2)29. I really didn't want to go down with either of those hands.

It was a thrilling run for sure!

I will probably recharge by drunk donking in PH $240R NLO8 tomorrow, then finish up with the $3k.

I did make my third consecutive FT (PH $240 NLO8... first was $1.1k DSE PLO/PLO8/Big O). There were some good players left at the end. I believe I was shortest stack at least once on bubble (12 paid), finally donked my way out after a surprisingly long time at FT, but not disappointed that I could get back and get some grub and rest my brain for 3k. My game seems to be at its sharpest, despite not having played a single hand of poker in 1.5 years until less than two weeks ago.
