Overplaying? I think that you were either really far ahead or behind at that point. Getting a call from A3xx to draw to a low for his stack is probably good poker. After all, if the 3 hits, you are really good; however, if the 4 or the flush or low cards come, you are not. I don't see a flush draw or a nut low folding there and the villian has indicated that he is playing for stacks.

Nice level Wack. Interesting question as to who is technically freerolling who on the turn here....55:45....I suppose those "donks" should fold the flop to a single barrel from a nit like you because you clearly always have it. And the turn....what was he thinking
08-17-2010 , 02:12 PM
I think I've realized why I've never liked stars and I'm completely serious about this. I think there is a TON of cheating happening in the nlo8 games on stars. It's kind of obvious to me actually as I'm a pro player and I've always primarily played o8. Lately I've been playing a lot on stars and this is my opinion of the o8 games.

I understand a lot of people make their living off of stars games and they don't want to believe it but I think if they look at the difference in the play of the shortstack regs from stars when compared to full tilt they will see what I'm saying. The 3bet shove % is through the roof on stars when compared to full tilt. Obviously they're getting in much lighter on stars which can mean you're going to win a higher amount of showdowns but this isn't the case on stars which must mean they are colluding and knowing they are shoving live.

I encourage any other pro to compare the play on each site for yourself. The evidence is there. I think stars must do a better job policing their hold em and PLO games since they are far more popular than o8.

There are some players that their style is to shortstack and 3bet shove pre slightly too often. I understand this is a winning strategy if enough volume is put in but there is a huge difference between 3bet shoving 11% of the time and 3bet shoving 20%.

Some players that I think are shortstack regs that are NOT colluders are:

jfeez
thenewstew
moleAA
goofytwo

A few shortstack regs that are probably colluding:

saldsald
lukro8
vectile
exit4afilm2
spondeed
kuhns89

Also, what stakes are they playing? Obv report this to PS if you have any evidence.
08-17-2010 , 07:21 PM
I don't think they are necessarily colluding. They are just rocks. Shove all the chips in when a hand meets their criteria. You could write a bot to match their playstyle pretty easily.

I don't play NLO8 so I don't know all those names, but lukro and exit at least are both solid regs that also consistently win at PL, HU, MTTs etc. Which makes the idea that they're colluding NLO8 much less believable IMO.

But that's not to say it's impossible, and if you really do have unusual stats on preflop shoving vs showdown winrate then please post them so we can give them proper analysis and pass on anything we find to PS.
