Hey folks. This hand is from a session at Foxwoods on Friday. The table was pretty loose and aggressive, including the two other players in this hand. The type of hands that were being raised at this table included AAxx, KK with little or no low cards (like KK43) and high only hands like AKJT. The preflop raiser in this hand has raised quite a bit but has only shown down one hand, AAJ5 when he was all-in preflop with another player.

My image is that of a tight nit. We're about an hour and a half into the session at this point and I have played only 3 or 4 hands so far. The table has taken notice and commented on it, so they are aware of my tight play.

Preflop:
I have A278 on the button. It is folded to the player in the HJ seat who raises to $8 (yeah, they were allowing raises to $8 preflop even though it's pot limit). I call, BB calls.

Flop: ($25) T87 (3 players)
BB checks, HJ bets $25, Hero???

While this guy was aggressive, I tend to give him credit for not having a bare overpair here. He would probably have an overpair and a low draw or flush draw to bet pot here.

So I have about $100 left and the other 2 players cover. Fold or raise here? I can't see calling as a legitimate option as I still have the BB behind me, who is capable of trapping or making a semibluff raise with a draw.

Thanks in advance.

Raise to $100. If one or both call, fine. If one or both folds, that's fine too.

You should probably put it all in if you only had A28K.

as for this business.... his range is so much wider than this, it proves absolutely nothing. i'm not saying we are doing worse or better than this vs his range but we get no where with this sim. our hand is not doing particularly well vs a naked set/straight or even a different two pair with any sort of draw. andddd not to mention, that isn't even the sim you did. you used a somewhat trivial hand to simulate instead of just using our real hand. i don't get it.

but yes, we are still getting it all in here.

Raise, get as much in while you are semi-freerolling him (e.g. if he has overpair or A2 +FD or A28x). A turn card could kill your action.

Were you all deeper, I might consider playing it slower, but with LAG's potting into you and a tight table image, this is just ship it time.
