my guy Trump is really starting to sound like Ron Paul on foreign policy. must be looking to pick up the 2 % that support RAND. jajaja

@ 6:40 regarding all of the fighting age men claiming to be refugees. 'Why aren't they fighting for their country?' brilliant

got to admit i was wrong about rubio. when the markets had him equal to trump, and rubio was just another guy at 5% with scott walker and all, i thought cmon man.

he didnt really do anything. his debate performances, he just comes out as a typical right wing war hawk/everything is awful republican and that seems to be enough. i just think the kid is a lightweight. who reaches for water like he did? and he led immigration reform and then disowned it. and he lied about his family history. so he is a big pus.sy who will get his hat handed to him.

Is Rubio's rise based on anything other than "Not named Bush, not totally bat**** insane"?

People seem to think he did well in the last debate, but I think the reason you stated is probably 90%.

Add in 'more reliably conservative than Kasich', imo. I wish I'd put some money on him. Originally thought Jeb! would win but he should've been pulling away by now even though he might yet pull it off.

And a huge lol at what 'conservative' means these days.

Rubio polls the best in GE matchups with Hillary. If that persists into primary season he can make the electability argumnent.

He looks the part. Bush looks like a nice enough dad, but a bit of a wimp. Rubio looks like he could be president.

Rubio looks and acts like a low-level middle manager, his natural station in life.

He is much too attractive for middle management IMO.

Yes, maybe some day. Right now he looks like somebody who gets their lunch money taken by the big kids.

Easily VP-level in corporate America. Good hair.

Bush is definitely a wimp. He's also a crazed warmonger like his brother.

Why do people keep saying this, he's not THAT attractive. He's ok.

"Good looking" is graded on a curve in politics, and the average looks like Kasich.

It doesn't matter, because they all lose to Donald Trump in a handsome contest.

Well, if he was elected president that counts for 1 point, so maybe 7.5. No wonder he wants to be president.

Unless his balls drop in the next 6-9 months, Hillary will destroy Rubio in debates.
10-02-2015 , 12:24 AM
He does give off a Rick Lazio vibe.

Why do you think so? Rubio has looked pretty good in the debates so far and has always struck me as quick-witted. I think he would be well suited to a head-to-head debate format.

I didn't watch the second debate but I thought he looked like a scared little kid in the first - picking up where he left off from his disastrous SoTU rebuttal.

If he's actually getting it together - presence-wise - then it's his to lose. He's better-looking than Jeb, has more bona-fides for the conservatives w/o being too insane to win the general, and he's not a Bush.

Agreed Suzzer. I think Rubio has a legit chance to POTUS too. I think it will be super close if it ends up being Rubio v. Clinton.
