"forced my head into his crotch"

Doesn't work often, but when it does...

Wow, I think this looks really bad, but I thought the stuff before was pretty bad. The accuser looked really uncomfortable out there and she didn't try to sell her story. I think this might be for real.

Can't say what it is exactly, but something seems fishy.

I mean who knows what was said at the dinner. She could have been leading him on or something and he misinterpreted signs. Still, his comment "you want a job, right?" is pretty bad.

Can someone cliffs what happened at the presser?

New NYTimes app on iPad just notified me another woman publicly accuses Herman Cain.

Accusation:
Girl with boyfriend worked for something Cain was involved with. One night she and her boyfriend were invited up to Cain's suite to join in on a fairly exclusive party. A month later she was fired (no reasons given). She contacted Cain to do coffee because she was on the job search and thought he could help. She had to travel to see him. When she arrived he had upgraded her to an incredible suite. Then they met up at the hotel bar, leading to dinner at an Italian place. She explained her job situation and he said he'd look into it. He said he was going to take her to the National Restaurant Association to get her familiar with it (or something). He parked a couple of blocks away, and touched her leg, "reached for her genitals," and then tried to pull her head toward his crotch. She said, "What are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend." He said "You want a job, don't you?" She demanded that he take her back. He did so promptly.

Cain press release:
Quote:
Just as the country finally begins to refocus on our crippling $15 trillion national debt and the unacceptably high unemployment rate, now activist celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred is bringing forth more false accusations against the character of Republican front-runner Herman Cain.

All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false. Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone. Fortunately the American people will not allow Mr. Cain’s bold “9-9-9 Plan”, clear foreign policy vision and plans for energy independence to be overshadowed by these bogus attacks.

Accuser: [Herman Cain] took my head and brought it to his crotch... then said "You want a job, right?"

I'm going to be skeptical because Allred is a ****.

Marilyn Monroe shoved my head into her crotch once when I was 12. I think this story might be real , too.

Can't imagine why she waited a decade to say anything about it? Black rich executive grabs a girl's head and jams it into his crotch. Doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me. Herman "Superfly" Cain!

Can anyone meld this image:

The quote "you want a job dont you" pretty much ends his campaign right there.

Also i loled a lot at his press statement that he has clear foreign policy vision.

Given that this accuser has just opened her life up to all kinds of bad ****, and doesn't stand to really gain from it unless there's been a dirty behind-the-scenes deal, I have a hard time being dismissive about this.

Pretty much. Simply making a failed pass at this girl would get mostly shrugged at...but that line is awful. He cannot just sit back and refuse to talk about this, as much as he keeps saying that's his intention.

If this is a person who received 1 year salary then why the hell would she bother talking to the press? Like Herman Cain was some celebrity back then or something? That's pretty much why they paid this settlement to the girl.

Its not just that its a terrible line and ridiculously sleazy, which it is, its also that every single time he makes reference to jobs that quote will be in the mind of people watching and its going to get him decimated by everyone calling themselves a comedian.

I could probably write a 5 minute cold open to SNL based on that line playing off various other quotes and themes like job creators, blame yourself if you dont have a job, putting people back to work etc.

If there is any shred of truth to it , I would agree 100%. Now.... for that stickily truth part.......

Memes are as bad as truths, especially if Cain makes zero effort to fight the story she is telling.

Well, agreed. But if his strategy is going to be to say "That's not true, and I'm not saying anything else about this," it's just going to make him look more guilty and it will destroy him. He has to address it. If he's lying when he says it's untrue, he's going to have to get in front of a camera and lie in greater detail.
