That might help a nominee to a general election win, but seeing as noone in the GOP primary is named Obama, I don't see the relevance right now

Doubt some dude on the radio is privy to Obama campaign intel.

Getting attacked by Dems will actually help Romney in the primary. Notice that Obama had a lot of nice things to say about Huntsman? It's because he knew this would hurt Huntsman with Reps.

Its part of the reason just before the first debate Romney entered Obama was praising Romneycare and that it is the model Obama based his healthcare reforms on.

It's also on Politico, so someone's talking.

the only play Obama ever had was the Bush/Rove 2006 play. Unless the economy suddenly starts rebounding massively and the wars end

Pretty reporter: Tell me something about Obama's plans for 2012 election.
Drunk young aide: Off the record?
Pretty reporter: (leaning over to show some cleavage) Of course.
Drunk young aide: (spills his guts)

This is true even if the aid is a low level staffer with absolutely no inside knowledge.

If I didn't know better I would say Obama is trying to hasten the Perry-induced deathblow to Romney. I still think he is best off with Romney in the general election. If you go through the Politico piece they mention the Romney "weirdness". Gail Collins harps on it frequently. He is very, very uncomfortable dealing with people. He is a set-piece candidate. It would be funny to see a Romney "pity-bounce" though.

Maybe he wants to see a long, long primary thats undecided into June. If more broke ass states move their primaries back onto the regular primary schedule, it could just go on and on. He may not need to attack Perry if he keeps on running his mouth without handlers.

Rick Perry's college transcript.

He got a D in veterinary anatomy, a F in a second course on organic chemistry and a C in animal breeding. Do we really want a president who got a D in veterinary anatomy?

Is this real? Looks like a terrible transcript.
08-10-2011 , 09:51 AM
Yes, Rick Perry is dumb. But is he DUMB ENOUGH????

And you do have to give him credit for persistence. Not many students would take Organic Chemistry II after getting a D in Organic chem I.

He went to a place called Paint Creek, it explains a lot of it.

Apparently. I found the link at Huff Po: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/0..._n_919357.html

A source in Texas passed The Huffington Post Perry's transcripts from his years at Texas A&M University. The future politician did not distinguish himself much in the classroom. While he later became a student leader, he had to get out of academic probation to do so. He rarely earned anything above a C in his courses -- earning a C in U.S. History, a D in Shakespeare, and a D in the principles of economics. Perry got a C in gym.

Perry also did poorly on classes within his animal science major. In fall semester 1970, he received a D in veterinary anatomy, a F in a second course on organic chemistry and a C in animal breeding. He did get an A in world military systems and “Improv. of Learning” -- his only two As while at A&M.

"A&M wasn't exactly Harvard on the Brazos River," recalled a Perry classmate in an interview with The Huffington Post. "This was not the brightest guy around. We always kind of laughed. He was always kind of a joke."

Classy use of an anonymous source Huffingtonpost.

our current president is a professor at harvard and he's ****ed things up even worse than his moronic predecessor.

book smarts do not make a good president.
08-10-2011 , 10:12 AM
Perry's grades are a bit worse than Bush's but he took much harder classes. Tons of politicians would have gotten an F in that organic II class.

He also got a C in gym. And this was at Texas A&M, fwiw.

I'm the first to agree that book smarts/grades are not that important. I'm actually more interested to learn the types of classes that Perry (and others) decided to take, as I think that can be revealing.

On the other hand, transcripts are invariably LOLworthy.

While I agree with this, grades are an indicator of work ethic, which is important on the job.
08-10-2011 , 10:24 AM
Yeah, but I have no idea if students at Yale in the sixties were graded harder than students at A&M in the sixties. Obviously Yale was and is a more prestigious school but that's not at all the same thing. And Bush was way more likely to get a gentelman's C than Perry.
08-10-2011 , 10:25 AM
not if the work ethic is for something ******ed like college (especially gym class)

and wasn't this like 40 years ago? is perry 22 years old?
