How legit is that yougov thing saying Tories will lose the outright majority ?

It's a pretty bold prediction.

ask again on the 9th

GBP fell by about 0.4% five seconds after it was published so der markt thinks it has at least a bit of credibility

You're still using internet memes and calling other men 'bros' when you're 30+ years old?

Very bold but my instinct tells me it won't happen.

It would be amazing, a positive surprise on an election night. So 0% chance. If corbyn was a nazi it'd be like 50/50.

There's a 10 year waiting list. Even diebitter can't get in.

Number One in the charts but the BBC won't play it

I don't read too much into financial markets. They are pretty bad at politics because economists don't actually bother reading a book or two about it and just settle with the editorials of the newspapers which are basically propaganda.

Neutrality - how does it work

They should be very clear that they don't necessarily endorse the message but they should play it imo.

Most likely that's because it made a hung parliament seem more likely

Top trolling.

Actually feel sorry for Theresa May, spin doctors need sacking for setting her up to fail. Shambolic again today being questioned about TV debate.
05-31-2017 , 02:22 PM
I'd like to see her asked about her role in allowing the libyan exiles and british born libyans to travel freely to fight Gaddafi in 2011 and if she was the one who approved the lifting of their counter-terrorism control orders.

I believe you have to register to vote in the surveys so they are easily exploitable by large groups.

This tv debate is a train crash. Everyone shouting over each other and no order.

Jeremy also says the deficit has gone up under the tories so it appears £155B is less than the current £60B deficit. He's been listening to Diane too much.

I'm never sure when politicians mix up debt and deficit whether they are genuinely thick or deliberately trying to mislead. Either way it's not good.

Indeed, it's typical of our political system and why I'm voting independent. Rudd's a particular car crash though
05-31-2017 , 03:39 PM
I expected more from Rudd. I know Theresa hates Boris, but he's easily the best man for this type of car crash debate.

Farron surprisingly good.

I'd agree, surprised the conservatives didn't put up David Davis as he seems a much better speaker.

Although there is nothing to be learned from this comedy show as no actual policies are being debated.

Channel 4 fact checker pretty much destroys the SNP's manifesto.

It is one prediction model out of many. It isn't completely worthless because it is a scientific poll, but I wouldn't bet on a single outlier either.

I agree with you about the markets opinion being valueless. In any case, no one ever really knows why market moves, it is just speculation tying that to a poll.
05-31-2017 , 03:56 PM
yougov maintain a panel afaik.
05-31-2017 , 04:01 PM
I normally hate it when politicians do jokes (Nick Clegg was awful), but that Farron line was pretty good.
