She literally isn't saying hi to people, in either English or Spanish. I guarantee you that every single one of those Spanish speakers knows how to say "Hi." There's no way she doesn't know "Hola."
I mean, for ****'s sake, I knew "Hola," way before high school Spanish just from TV shows and stuff using a word or two of Spanish.
If she was so interested in having conversations, she'd at least say hi to people in SOME language. She's not.
She's being painted as someone who deserves sympathy because she can't talk to people. Some of those people HAVE made an effort to talk to her, and she has not reciprocated or made any effort to talk to them in any language.
