"Police quickly released Watts when they figured out who she was."

She refused to provide her ID. Maybe if she provided ID when asked this would have been resolved much quicker and without tears.

And yeah, this doesn't deserve its own thread and really isn't even noteworthy.

Like that one cop wrote, if you don't want trouble just obey their authoritay.
09-14-2014 , 01:21 PM
Also, nothing would have happened if she wasn't stopped by the police and asked for her ID.

And I'm sure you're a strong believer in small government, right?

If she was on crystal meth, that might explain why she would be out prostitutin'.

COPS CAN'T JUST DEMAND YOUR ID FOR NO ****ING REASON. For about the 900000th time. Why are people ITT constantly excusing police acting like complete thugs?

I guess the cops not being racist isn't an option, huh?

Do you how mad some affluent white people get when you ask them for ID? When I worked as a teller I asked some white guy in a suit for ID when he cashed a $1,000 dollar check and he made me get my manager and then harangued us for ten minutes.

And this story is dead.

Score one for team #waitforthefacts

This is why I don't jump to conclusions, and it's why you shouldn't either.

Um, who here jumped to conclusions? And, again, what harm did it do?

Not sure if you're serious. Check the thread. Someone even said that story deserved it's very own thread in this forum because apparently this one couldn't contain all the outrage such a racist situation like that was going to present. LOL

What harm did it do? Oh, I dunno, maybe the fact the responding officers were photographed and being slandered on social media as racists. They even probably got their very own hashtag on tweeter.

Under Cali law, cops aren't allowed to act in secret. They are required to wear a name tag, identify themselves when asked, and write their reports under there own name. Even when in riot gear, they are required to display a coded uniform number.

In general, silent video taping cops in Cali is legal (recording sound is more iffy, and this can be a very very dangerous thing to be doing, regardless of the legalities).

Speculating on who might be a racist, regardless if they happen to be a cop, is protected speech under the First Amendment.

LMFAO... nobody was harmed.

So what facts are you waiting for, exactly?

JAAASH repeatedly saying "tweeter" is hilarious and not surprising given the threshold he has for basic language skills.
09-22-2014 , 01:41 AM
I asked him about it and he gave the definition of one who tweets, which is okay in some usage but the other times when he uses it instead of twitter don't make much sense. I assume he has some sort of disdain for it but I dunno.

Schroedinger's cat can be probably dead even before the quantum superposition collapses, and even if it ends up alive.

He was just noting that somebody reached a conclusion, then they reached a different conclusion based on seeing additional facts.

Cops in this case were wearing recording devices I believe. Probably explains the sudden about face by many who were supporting the actress. If anything this story shows how body mics/cameras should be worn by all police. If they act appropriately, the cameras can only help them. If they don't, the cameras will help convict criminal cops.

No one jumped to conclusions, they evaluated the evidence and drew a conclusion. It is unsurprising you don't know the difference.

I didn't see anything about body cameras but there were pictures taken from an office by the people who called the cops. Showed they were doing more than kissing.
