holy piss, what is this 90 degree crap?

The judge asked Zimmerman directly if there are any more witnesses? Can't Zimmerman consult with his lawyers? I didn't see if he did. I assume he did. Lol. I missed something right?

The man opened the door in his boxers to shake down Barbara Walters for like $50,000. Don't know if O'Mara can contain that kind of hubris.

I am pretty staunchly anti-Zimmerman and think I have made that clear. That being said, this judge is absolutely frolicking on planet bananas. The guy said that he has not made a decision yet and the defense has two more witnesses to call. What the **** is her deal????
07-10-2013 , 03:24 PM
Don West and Mark O good lawyer bad lawyer routine? I understand the judge asking the defendant himself if he's going to testify but asking him about other witnesses and not allowing his lawyers to answer or confer? I'm sure I'm incorrect in what I think I saw right?

1) I think you need to look up the definition of spite.
2) He didn't yell it, even though the prosecutors have every time they asked the question. He muttered it under his breath. It wasn't addressed specifically to him, it was addressed to a broad group of people that have gotten away with crimes in the neighborhood. It's nearly impossible to prove ill will between two people that haven't met. That's in the appeals courts opinions that MOM argued at the JOA hearing. The prosecution has literally put forth zero proof there was ill will. They didn't even call an expert to testify to that effect. Supposition and innuendo do not constitute evidence and they certainly don't prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt.

As far as understand (which could be very far indeed) the issue of ill will and spite boils down to specificity -- "these *******s" is too general for murder (not insurmountably, but an uphill climb.)

"This *******" is ok.

Judge -- "you're certain?

Definitely your idea?

Anyone threatening you?

Counting one.... two... two and a half..."
07-10-2013 , 03:41 PM

07-10-2013 , 03:46 PM

Sounds like we'll finish today or see the last prosecution witness (who they aren't sure they are even going to call) tomorrow morning. Figure all of the rest of tomorrow for closing arguments, and I think a 4pm Friday verdict is a possibility.
