that's a pretty clear and extreme biased opinion. and it does come from the moderator of the forum. that viewpoint from a mod, by itself, is not problematic for me. it very well might be for mason. but if it means the moderation is biased, that would be a problem for both of us.

Given the requirement to cite unsubstantiated statements when challenged, and the shift in our politics to a place where facts have a "liberal bias," it seems that any moderator enforcing this policy would thus have to have a "liberal bias."

I wonder if when Mat shut down politics for a day - it was a test to see how much traffic they'd lose.

Mason has clearly given up on direct engagement since he gets dunked on every time. But killing the thorn in his side still seems palatable I'm guessing.

Im way too lazy/indifferent to do any data scraping but is the politics subforum all that important to the forum as a whole? I get that it’s active but it attracts 0 new members and it seems like the same 20 regs make 80% of the posts. Just getting rid of it seems way more feasible than creating a new semi active deplorable politics forum that admins can be proud of.
