It can't be that easy to confuse you goofy.

I certainly don't want to make assumptions about your positions, since we all know how pissy you get when people assume wrong. Could you talk about your current views on the death penalty and why this case makes you question them?

What? You going soft, son. ****'em, They killed a innocent man(35yo probably with kids). Why should they be spared? Age? Products of their environment?

Real counties don't execute people. Only blood thirsty scummy ones like Saudi Arabia and North Korea.

The best countries only lock people up for life as a last resort.

Technically, the USA is "unreal'.

wow 'real' countries only! what an amazing argument phill, but somehow 'peer pressure' isn't that convincing.

"We don't need any of your stinking civilisation, we got experimental drug combos and suspiciously racist justice system."

Jesus phill it's perfectly normal to struggle with opposition to the death penalty and long incarcerations for 16 year olds when you see a case that involves a 16 year old hunting down people for their cars. The 'omg just do it like us' is a ****ing stupid ass response.
09-24-2014 , 10:17 AM
Lol, no it isnt. The death penalty is straight up immoral.

How many times can we reconfigure "an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth" to sound witty?

Exactly, the smart response is to be like "god, I know I shouldn't support the execution of these people, but this one case really got at my #feelings and I just want to kill this kid so bad". Why can't you have the more reasoned and intelligent view like ikes?
09-24-2014 , 12:00 PM
Ikes struggles with his different moral centers and complex ethical questions are real guys, they aren't just #feelings like the rest of the masses
09-24-2014 , 12:12 PM
ikes I will genuinely be impressed if you decide to oppose the death penalty (I'm not mocking you in any way, being entirely serious here)
09-24-2014 , 12:13 PM
i've opposed the death penalty for just about ever, these kind of cases make it difficult.
09-24-2014 , 12:21 PM
Maybe DBJ could trip this guy every time he goes down the stairs and we can get him the Accidental Death Penalty.
09-24-2014 , 01:06 PM
What if somebody's anti-death penalty, but pro-vigilante death squads?
09-24-2014 , 01:13 PM
Welcome to libertarianism! Enjoy!

It really doesnt. There is no logical reason whatsoever to back the death penalty.

But #feelings!

Why does Brendan Tevlin receive no press coverage?

http://heavy.com/news/2014/06/brenda...ge-new-jersey/

Only Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton get to decide which deaths are tragic?

I'd explain, but you wouldn't understand.
