Brag: Ron Paul was there tonight!
Variance: I missed it because I am on the road for work.

Will you be back for the straw poll this weekend?

No dice. Gonna have to watch the media try to ignore him from afar.

RP specifically mentions poker in his NY speech around the 26 min mark

Small world, I grew up there. Are you a meditator?

I have not studied enough economics to claim myself as a supporter or denier of "Keynesian economics".
max continues his policy of never stating his actual position on ANYTHING.

Got Atlas Shrugged! It's ****ing hudge!

Must finish end the fed before starting it.

Well Max, you do know what libertarianism is, don't you?

I'm not talking or asking about Ron Paul or any of his policies, I'm asking about you and your beliefs.

Are you a believer/supporter in the libertarian philosophy?

I thought that was the trademark way to win arguments on this forum.

Max doesn't win arguments. He argues in bad faith. Ignores any post/poster clever enough to point out how and why he is arguing in bad faith. And continues trumpeting lines that he feels will piss off whoever he is arguing with, with no consideration towards intellectual honesty.

Considering there were 100s of posts arguing whether RP is a libertarian or not, there is obv a disagreement itt

These definitions have been argued endlessly on this forum. I am certainly not an anarchist nor a miniarchist by definitions most people on the forum use. If that is necessary to be a lib I am not one. By everyday usages of the word, where pretty much wanting to legalize drugs makes you a libertarian, I am one. I seriously question how interested you are in anything relevant to the thread subject given your line of questioning
08-10-2011 , 01:09 PM
why is max actual position on anything even relevant in a Ron Paul thread? it's not like the issues he raised will go away if you can attack one of his views..

Honestly, fair or unfair, you're all kind of grouped in my mind. Sometimes the lines blur.

Too lazy/unconcerned to retrace, hence the question.

@Fermion

Are you a volunteer? I'm considering it....

Gary Johnson and Ron Paul are virtually identical on all issues except abortion. Johnson might be better, but I think he should drop out and fully endorse Ron Paul. I was surprised how close Michelle Bachmann and even Mitt Romney are to Ron Paul views now. I even heard Bachmann wanting to end the fed and basically end the department of housing. She is not just a neocon hidden in the tea party.

I think Paul could get more votes if he replaced Obamacare with a $2000 voucher.

If he offered $100 a week no questions asked unemployment.

Allowed seniors to keep medicare, the average Florida resident spends $10,000 a year on medicare and that would really boost their SSI check.

If you are denied access to the hunting grounds, you must compensate.

No not yet. I'm not really comfortable calling random people in Iowa to get them to the straw poll. I've just been keeping a close eye on the campaign. I've posting links here and sending them to the owner of ronpaulflix.com so he can get them up asap. I've also uploaded a few RP videos to youtube that I've found online such as radio interviews.

I'll probably get involved later on in Texas where i live. Probably by passing out ron paul brochures at tea party events.

Wait, I thought libertarians were by definition unable to think of people by group membership?

But yes, that post isn't news. It featured prominently in my discussion with TomVeil, when it was also pointed out that it had actually already been mentioned in this thread.
