Do you know if there's an out-of-the box ad that can be thrown up once we raise the money or does it have to be designed and created and such? I would think this is the kind of thing ppl at the campaign could provide and we just pass it on to 2p2 but idk.

Sorry if that's already been covered. I missed the discussion about the ad.

Is that really what you think will beat Paul vs Obama? Sensationalism versus substance? Kerry didn't just lose because of those ads...he lost because of a variety of issues, like rigged votes, his policies, his personality, his lack of serious contrast to Bush (like Obama!), etc. To blame it all on the ads is revisionist history at best...and I won't say what at worst.

I seem to remember a music video by Rage Against the Machine for the song "Testify" that pointed out how little of a difference there was between Gore and Bush, let alone Kerry and Bush.

If all you have is some debunked newsletter (an issue that won't last two weeks in general election with all the minority support Ron Paul is getting and will get) from 20 years ago that were rebuked thoroughly (even to the Left's satisfaction) in 2008, and you can't attack his actual record, his philosophy, et cetera, effectively, then you have already lost. All we have to do is look at Obama's actual record...it's enough canon fodder for an entire election cycle.

I mean you do realize that Paul has a NAACP President in Texas willing to go to bat for him, who did in 2008 as well, to say he's known him for decades and that he is neither racist nor did he have anything to do with those newsletters, right?

You underestimate the intelligence of the American people (who I admit aren't geniuses), and therefore will insult their intelligence.

The problem you have is Ron Paul has no real "dirty laundry"...you have to make it up.

Edit: I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but sometimes I can't help it.
lol, we have well over a thousand posts in the newsletter thread. They have been anything but "debunked," unless you think that one is not culpable for stoking white fears with writings of gangs of black girls running around poking people with HIV-infected needles if one didn't actually write those words, even though one still profited from their publication and continued to knowingly associate, both personally and professionally, with the person or people who did, instead of, say, suing those people for defaming one's good, non-racist name.

Yeah, I've been thinking about this. I guess I'd have to get it up today in order for it to be relevant, but I probably won't be able to do the reveal until after the new year.

There was a chart floating around twitter showing Ron Paul's portfolio. Don't remember where though.

Also Ron Paul just polled at 13% in Gallup's national day tracker. A new high IIRC.

Paul is up 5%, Romney is up 0%, and Gingrich is down 11% since it started.

ARG Iowa poll
Paul 21%
Romney 20%
Gingrich 19%

This is anecdotal but a couple weeks ago, I talked with a friend about Ron Paul and he was like "oh that dudes crazy, he wants to legalize drugs."

I talk to him yesterday and he tells me, literally everyone he has asked said they were voting Ron Paul! He was amazed.

Don't let the racist newsletter story demoralize you. Keep up the good work guys. We CAN win this.

"I'm sure that the vast majority of libertarians - and conservatives, Republicans, liberals, Democrats, etc. - who end up pulling a lever for Ron Paul are not ignoring the policies and legislation he has either authored or worked to enact. It is precisely in his concrete attempts to roll back the state - whether through pushing for an end to massive, endless, and uncritical increases in military spending and operations or by co-authoring (with Barney Frank) of the first attempt to end federal marijuana prohibition - that Paul captures the libertarian vote. His philosophical rhetoric and ideological consistency may be appealing to some, but it's really what he plans to deliver on that is motivating people to listen long and hard and show up at rallies."

I'm on terrible Internet atm so can't look up the article or video.

A Schiff blog post few months back convinced to stick like 15% of my net worth into GDX at 62.

Stop taking financial advice from Peter Schiff for Christ's sake. He couldn't even make money off the subprime crisis and he knew it would happen.

Good Austrian economist, poor financial investor.

I've lost a crapton of market getting spooked by my Schiff-head friend and betting against the market.

The key with Ron Paul is that he cant be bought or threatened. Elites will have to kill him to keep the status quo.

^Seems like he is sold his integrity for $99 (unless you got the 1/2 off deal)

from that article on RP's investing:

Quote:
Mr. Bernstein says he has never seen such an extreme bet on economic catastrophe. ”This portfolio is a half-step away from a cellar-full of canned goods and nine-millimeter rounds,” he says.

what's funny is that unlike what you'd expect from the other politicians, he always casts votes against policies which would cost money, lead to more dollars being created, and more inflation, and make him super super rich(er).

Does that graph make any sense?
