I'm sensing this is a level, but I'll bite.
We could have paid a small group of mercenaries $100 million, or even $1 billion, to go over and capture Bin Laden without invading an entire country. We would have caught him in less than a few months after 9/11. Damn, that would have been way too efficient and good for the economy compared to what actually happened. Think of all the freedoms we would still have if we only did that.
