I'm sensing this is a level, but I'll bite.

We could have paid a small group of mercenaries $100 million, or even $1 billion, to go over and capture Bin Laden without invading an entire country. We would have caught him in less than a few months after 9/11. Damn, that would have been way too efficient and good for the economy compared to what actually happened. Think of all the freedoms we would still have if we only did that.

Don't know if it's well known here or not, but Ross Perot actually did something like this. Here's an article: http://feraljundi.com/1742/history-r...-in-iran-1978/

Government militarism just plain blows.

dude, he said take it to PMs.

I wanna read Tsau talk about Ron Pawl

^^ and I'm pretty sure Cain got into the spotlight based on his performance in the first debate. And yes, they're irrleevant even when non-RP candidates win them. Bachmann is trailing in every Iowa state poll.
christ this is an awful post. the Ames straw poll has more predictive power than EVERYTHING ELSE COMBINED when it comes to who wins Iowa.

Ames results have been incorrect 2 out of 5 times in predicting who wins Iowa caucuses.

One of the top two has won the Iowa caucus every time.

Why Ames Actually Matters by 2+2's Nate tha' Great

Looks pretty good that one of the top two will not be winning it this year.

Also, from that link:

Two successes in particular stand out. In 1979, George H.W. Bush won Ames despite polling at just 1 percent in a Des Moines Register survey — he went on to win the Iowa caucus. And in 2007 Mike Huckabee, in the low single digits in both state and national polls, finished second in the straw poll, the first tangible indicator of his upside in Iowa.
Man I ain't like no kind of expert in this or nothing but I'm pretty sure your successes that stand out should involve dudes who won the nomination for President.

fly we're talking about winning the republican contest in iowa which would get me $500 from max that's all that matters guy

and I'm even MORE sure you need to reread the article, which only discusses Iowa.

Bachmann tries to steal Ron's economic plan

“I will shut down the Department of Education. I will shut down the EPA. I will shut down the Department Energy. I will shut down the Department of Interior. I will shut down the Department of Commerce,” Bachmann said.

It's always so bizarre and hilarious when these shape-shifting suits randomly try to co-opt libertarian positions. I'd put as much weight into that as Obama's ending the wars overseas and easing off marijuana.

I don't think we'll ever be a non-warring country. 1. The Dems don't want to appear soft on terrorism or else they might lose an election. 2. The Repubs don't want to lose the backing of the people who run the military industrial complex.

It's sad when the only 2 options in an election are 'pro-war' and 'pro-war'.

I agree, just like we'll never be a round square.

I'm not sure you're being as witty as you think you are, but you're just vague enough to leave me guessing.

You don't know how witty I think I am. What was vague?

Man, getting a really laggy connection. Stops to load every few seconds. Damn private companies discriminating against RP's message!

Wow this is absolutely insane. I had no idea they had started this.

Just shows the absurd length the government is going through to "provide safety". The only thing this is going to do is make your average person sit in traffic for hours on the occasion that the highway is having this. Anyone with anything to hide will just take backroads and avoid the risk. They won't find a damn thing and waste more money in the process.

But newt Gingrich says there are a lot of terrorists and threats and I believe him. We need to hurry up on the Iran war before we need to refocus on Afghanistan and Iraq again.
