salt > sand

Salt won't work once the temperature gets too low.

When the temp gets super super low ice isn't slippery. One of the polar expeditions got in trouble because the sleds wouldn't slide.

Salt sucks it melts my cars.

"Super cold" for like, the Mid Atlantic. Not the extended sub-zero temps that would make me confident about walking on a pond.

zikzak where do you live in where you bust your ass more on ponds than sidewalks? Do you live in the Fargo universe? Icy staircases and inclined driveways break more ankles than the Globetrotters over here on Earth 1.

i cannot imagine why anyone who plays poker for a living would support socialism. in soviet Russia in the old days, before they became a free country, u wouldve been a ward of the state and forcibly given a most menial of job u detested if u tried this. Thank God we live in a free country which allows us the right to play poker all day and night in the casino if we wish. millions of people were killed because of socialism.

yet people still dont wish to support trump. just goes to show u how evil drugs are. and how theyve ruined the minds of the youth. maybe it will make the games easier to beat, this might help to counteract the fact because of all the people supporting the resistance 10x as many people will walk up to u on the way into walmart now when u go to buy food and demand u give them $1

This is just amazing. Good thing we live in land of freedom USA#1 where our poker playing rights would never be infringed.

Had you guys met TBC (sevencard2003) before, or was this your first time? Not sure if he's wandered into the politics forum before.
01-31-2018 , 04:31 PM
I don't recall him
01-31-2018 , 04:37 PM
That's why I don't play poker for a living. Can't have both, had to make a choice. Comrades before cards imo.

I never quite expect a post on 2p2 to be something that seems directly out of Reefer Madness lol

Lots of people have responded to this. Now it's my turn. We are only one month in, but this post is a candidate for the worst post of the year. Just pure stupidity and lack of knowledge about, well, about anything. You just never know when the next dumbest of the dumb will out themselves, all because this administration has made it cool to make it obvious how stupid you are.

Sessions and Adelson will be giving us our freedom to gamble online anytime now. Uigea was pushed by conservatives...click a button lose a house.

I'll just say sevencard2003 aka Tony Bigcharles is famous/infamous in the live poker scene among those who have encountered him. He's a roving low stakes gambler with a blog and a... unique... personality and outlook.

I've played with him once or twice, and would pretty much just suggest that everyone argue the politics of course, but cut him some slack on the personal level with all the stupid/dumb/etc. I'll leave it there.

As a long time reader and fiery/passionate poster in the politics forum, I have an immense amount of respect for you. There must be a good reason for you to say this. Most of the posters I have lambasted have completely deserved it, but I'm not oblivious to the fact that I am harsh at times. I blame it on Wil. I'll tone down the narrative.

Thanks... Funny aside, but I didn't really know much about Wil's posting history over here in politics and did talk to him in the PG&C forum from time to time. He was in town and hit me up to grab a drink, and at that point I had seen some references to him here in politics but didn't know the whole deal. We had a couple drinks and discussed life and politics, and while obviously there was some political disagreement he was a nice guy.

I haven't tried to search out his political posts on here, but I'm quite curious how extreme they were relative to our conversation in real life.

Also, sometimes when I'm reading on my phone, I'll zoom in on the posts and ignore who they're from, unless I am going to respond or they're like top notch A+ and I want to see who posted them, so I may have even read some of his without realizing it... but I think he was out of this forum by the time I became very active on it.

He has a documented history of this, including as best I can tell IRL verification (I can see now that I'm not on my phone, and, lol, I actually infracted him about 8 years ago). So, he may be an expedited exile, but there is no sense in insulting or arguing with him.

I did get a laugh at the great American freedom to play poker in a casino any time day or night

If a transgender women tried to enter the bathroom well his wife was in there he would stop them including the use of force. This got pulled back a bit.

He also said dems have brainwash AA into believing racism is affecting them when its really not.

Those are the worst ones off the top of my head but he had some deplorable views in PU. Not really someone id want to go drink with either real or troll views.

Yeah, wasn't aware of all that. The bathroom bill stuff came up once we were talking, and we argued it. He was polite in his debate tone/style, but obviously I think the views are awful.

The racism take is just absurd. I don't remember that coming up, and I'm pretty sure I'd remember it if it had, because that type of take really pisses me off to no end... and ever since the election I've been making a point of not pulling any punches when it comes up in real life.

Kind of odd comparing the context of our PG&C totally non-political discussion in threads to some of his political takes. I mean, I felt that way once I met him, but it really is just an odd combination. I guess that's not unusual these days, though.

One thing that is always surprising is how likable and even nice some bigots are when they are not being bigoted. Its even more true off the internet since people keep their shields up and couch their views. Though trump got some to come down so they show their ugly more now.

Just saw his blog and ummm wow. He goes on racist, sexist, and homophobic tirades and wishes the US to return to pre WWII way of living. I thought maybe his post above was a weird troll but guess he was 100% serious
