Given your guarantees that Tracrendo and Angle would win, you'll forgive your comrades-in-ideology if they ignore your advice, right?

Hey I was wrong but my picks this time are for the primary. I am an actual republican so I know my base pretty well

Ron paul has no chance to get nominated, he's the biggest threat to republican "values" than anyone else. You see him welcomed in some of thier rallies because of his popularity to bring votes for them, they are using him that's all. Same problem is happening all over again in that people have amazingly short memory. In 2008 he was blocked from many debates because of his sensecal views that terrorists attack because of foreign policies and multiple interventions around the world.

Ron paul nomination would never happen because of one word , Israel. I'll offer whatever odds to whomever wants to take that bet.

He called Palin an idiot, not a Nazi.

Newt also has no chance, in the 90's while he was busy attacking clinton calling for impeechment over the monica affair, he was cheating with a staffer 23 years younger than him for years. So now he adds blatent hypocrasiy to his resume.

Yeah.......I can't wait to hear "I have a list of exactly 57 members of Congress who are secret communists terrorists!" come out to play.

Palin is a huge favorite imo

No, she's just being hyped by the media. No way, no how she wins the Repub POTUS nomination. Again, Repubs really don't have a good candidate for POTUS at this time, at least not among the ones that are supposedly going to run.

Calling Palin an idiot is a little too harsh as their IQs are 20 and lower. With her I wouldn't be shocked to see an 85, putting her square in the dullard category. What she lacks in intelligence she very clearly makes up for in cunning however.

That's why she will be the candidate. She only has to win ~50% of conservative votes to become the nominee, yeah? She will also be able to finance a large campaign. While she doesn't come across well in interviews she's an excellent public speaker and has already created this PR machine.

Can we count out Jeb Bush?

Right, just the way Palin guaranteed a huge percentage of the female vote in 2008.

Can anyone not simply read the body language and look in Palin's eyes when asked about running for president? She clearly has no interest, and is simply giving out a vague "if im somehow needed, you know if someobody somewhere out there really thinks I should attempt this.... i'd consider it" response. Honestly, palin is too damn scared to be president, and too accustomed to her millionaire easy breezy lifestyle she has made for herself as a right wing pundit wherever she can be heard.

Are you saying her people are sneaky!

Seriously, as an outsider to your politics the next couple of years are going to be hilarious and will make The Daily Show better than ever.

Jeb said he will not run for president last month and has been saying it for a few years now.

It wont be Palin - last night was a bad one for her, very very bad.

It doesn't seem that way superficially, given big returns for Repubs + Tea Party, but think about it,

Without her push for crazy Senate candidates in the primaries in Delaware and Nevada, Republicans would have run (less in)sane people and likely won the Senate. Also, another candidate she heartily endorsed is currently losing to fill in the blank in Alaska!

She's clearly deranged and delusional, she'll still run, but the establishment wont get behind her at all, and she wont get the nom.

Yeah, pretty much. Maybe she is kicking herself from walking away from the Governor job, but she made her bed and she is now lying in it. Long term she will be the next Rush, once the earth opens up and the devil reaches up to pull him down to the fiery depths.

I wouldnt counter her out of having some official position in a future Rep White House which could later springboard a run, but its pretty unlikely imo.

Jeb would have run for the Senate if he was planning a 2012 run. Its not impossible, but its a pretty good indicator that he has no interest in the job, at least not now.

Snooki Palin.

If GOP is smart, Romney, Ryan, or Rubio. Those are the only figures I see with a sane enough platform to play in the battleground states (Rubio's potential to win Florida is a huge asset for them).

If, however, they want to continue to play to the whining brats (Tea Party) and end up with Palin or some other majorly divisive figure, I predict fairly handy defeat.

Remember, the Presidential axis turns on only a few key states in this age, and Obama won them ALL last time, plus several others many believed were not even remotely in play (amazing what happens when minorities in Virginia and Carolina actually VOTE).

Why is she kicking herself? She's guaranteed herself millions of dollars of income for the next decade. Screw being a governor.

Indeed. If that isnt the lasting message out of this election i dont know what will be (well, other than booooo Obama sucks).

Maybe this is the wake up call the GOP needs to move closer to the centre and ditch the ultra conservative loons.

That plus "Hispanic" is something of a catch-all. Being of Cuban descent might well help Rubio among Cuban-Americans but that doesn't necessarily translate into votes from people with roots in Mexico or elsewhere.

Kicking herself if she wants to be president. It wasnt going to be easy anyway, but it all but killed any possible chance now.

She clearly decided that making millions from public speaking and various Fox appearances is worth more than direct power.

As much as I disagree with ultra-conservatives I don't think it's fair to say that the problem with Angle or O'Donnell or Miller was their political ideology, they are just cartoonish, bigoted, stupid people.

Gimme Newt in 12. The man is an awesome politican and would make a great President. He is seriously underrated.
