I hate to interrupt the AOC love-fest, but did anyone point out that when she said, "the reason the unemployment rate is so low is because everyone has two jobs" was the most idiotic statement ever made by someone with an Economics degree?

Or do we just defend and raise her here no matter what and pretend like she didn't say something incredible ignorant about how the unemployment rate is calculated?

She's got a lot of charisma and she is taking on the old-guard which I really like, but let's be honest here, she says a lot of stupid things too.

I'll take my beatings now . . .

Remember when that Dem Congressman said Guam was literally gonna "tip over" if they put too much military equipment on it?

We could go back and forth with stupid quotes from politicians, (and it would be fun to do over a few beers) but the point is that the AOC-worship should ease up a bit. She's a person, fallible, and to build her up as some super-hero will only lead to disappointment.

I sincerely hope she crushes the establishment of both sides, anything would be better than the past 30 or 40 years of both sides spending into oblivion and our military poking its nose in every alleyway on the planet.

I dont agree with a lot of her policies, but I love the idea of her exposing the absurdities in Washington. I'm a big fan of her continuing to do that. Lift up the covers, let's see the dirt!

That the town of Paradise he just visited is called Pleasure. That you need to hold the receiver when you are on a speakerphone. That umbrellas are disposable once opened. That it is okay to assassinate and dismember journalists if you are spending a lot of money on weapons. And so much more. Like, this month I mean.

I’ve always wondered why we seemed to lack a politician that’d tell corrupt liars to kick rocks or go to the mat over insanely popular issues. If I was a Senator I’d tell Mitch McConnell to tongue my ******* during every floor speech and rattle off his donors and how they affected certain votes. They gonna expel me from the Senate for speaking truth? Good, maybe the headlines will wake both-side morons up and get people interested in politics and civic.

AOC is finally the person I’ve been waiting for.

If you think about it, it’s extremely easy to be a politician the way she does it. Not spending 70% of her time calling donors, not having to spin corporatism as a positive, not having to dodge constituents, etc. Unless she really does something corrupt or illegal this is her seat for life. All you need to do is be authentic and she did it. There are no deals to be made by AOC - the people want XYZ and she will not water it down to please donors so that they approve of XYZ.
