Would the fallout be any different, or would we have a different opinion from the mayor if we changed the word black to white in the story, or somebody sang the "white" national anthem? What does this kind of debate mean for america's psyche? is there any honesty when it comes to racial equivalence?

The left, throught literally dozens of concessions, is quite content to accept and acknowledge the inferiority of blacks in America. How else could one explain all the asymmetries? Most blacks accept the concessions as victims, not inferiors, but the difference is an illusion. Black acceptance of these concessions assuages leftist white guilt, furthering the cycle.

surely electing a black man to the most powerful office in the world is symbolic of the changing status of (as RP would say) "the" blacks in america? It is hard to make arguments of inferiority when a black man is in the oval office.
