Let's say we did have massive voter fraud with 5 million illegal votes. Let's just say. Even the full ****** dumbest of Trump supporters can't believe, and I quote, "none of them come to me, they're all for the other side." He can't even make up believable ****.

At this point, he could say "now look, we have determined that the filthy rich are going to be in a special zero tax bracket. They won't have to pay any tax. This will benefit everyone greatly." People would just say yeah yep that seems fair, he is so right.

Mother ****er this needs to be broadcast everywhere. I would certainly look into moving to Canada, Australia, or maybe a Scandinavian country if I didn't have so many family ties here. We are ****ed, just like the right wants us to be.

Some of these have already been posted ITT, but good Reddit post here showing recent Trump tweets that were clearly made because of what he was watching on TV:

On Jan 20th. He's saying Jan 21st.

Just spit balling here, but there hasn't been 8T worth of public infrastructure spending in the entire US, state + local + federal, this millenium.
Nor has there been a 2000 mile wall build over rough terrain since the Qin Dynasty. How did that wall work out?

8T is a little hyperbole. But if they ever build the whole thing (which they want) I'd bet it's a lot closer to $800B than $8B. Although we'll never know for sure because Trump and Congress will obscure the costs.
01-26-2017 , 05:05 AM
ISn't the plan to keep costs down by employing the cheapest labour he can find ie illegal Mexican immigrants (before he throws them over the wall they've just built)?
01-26-2017 , 05:10 AM
IF you read up on the wall - there are a lot of spots like the Rio Grand or sand dunes where it's a huge challenge, and an environmental disaster. In a lot of spots you'd have to move the wall back so far you end up cutting off American land which is being used, and even people's homes.

I think like 10-15 years ago chunks of the desert still had no walls fences or anything. The desert was the barrier. There was a town surrounded by desert that had a US side and a Mexican side. Just a little gate in between that anyone could open. Then California cracked down and people started moving inland.

Re: Sherriff Tweet

Normally I'd say he intended to type Friday Dec 20 - where there were protests of the inauguration, and reported 217 people were arrested with a few minor injuries. But since he made it a point to date Sat Jan 21, and also specifically note "a day after our side peacefully gathered" (presuming the inauguration he clearly supports) he must mean something else.

The Women's March was Sat.Jan 21 and that's what was noted for zero arrests (widely reported and from credible law enforcement sources).

So whatever "collapse of the social order" that he "personally witnessed" needs a little more explanation. He referred to it as a Women's Riot too, and I should probably point out this guy is a total clown looking for TV time.

Probably not, pretty clear he just meant bitches were out roaming the streets without menfolk permission, a violation of the social order. These were mostly uppity liberal walking vaginas who were not at the time willing sex objects, so I mean not only a violation of the social order but indeed, a genuine collapse.
01-26-2017 , 05:53 AM
Speaking of vaginas, those actual vagina costumes were ****ing stupid and don't help anything. The pussy hats were clever and worked fine, just do that. That is if you actually want to be taken seriously. And to avoid the inevitable appearance of #MAGAdick running into you in a future event

Most estimates are <$25B.
01-26-2017 , 06:52 AM
Right because this is the kind of thing that's been done enough times, and doesn't have 100s of unanswered logistics questions, to have accurate estimates.

How tall gets the < $25B number?

How do people like this end up in positions of authority?

Genuine question, I'm a bemused European.

I'll ask my parents - they live in Milwaukee County. They hate him - as well they should - so they aren't at fault for him being in a position of power. I am curious, though, like you, as to how such a terrible person is in charge of law enforcement. I mean, he really is a monster. I honestly think he's legitimately worse than Trump.

800B? That's over 40% more than DoD annual budget that employs 3 million people, operates 10000 some aircraft, hundreds of sea vessels, a vast satellite network, tens of thousands of vehicles, a quarter million buildings, and supports the US's largest export industry.

I think your math is as bad as Trump's.

Csaba: He's a minor celebrity, and (while elected in his case), the Sheriff position may not be that a big deal. Most of his county is Milwaukee which has it's own police force, and likely do some of the individual towns throughout the county. In some places the Sheriff's department just take care of a few in-between areas and serve papers, provide bailiffs for courtrooms, run the jail that sort of thing.

A quick Google puts his salary as the #38 for Milwaukee County employees there, decent money but there are plenty of deputies and psychologists on the list above him. In Euroland I know Sheriff can mean lots of different things, but in this case he's just kind of like a minor deal.

But to answer your question, his visibility and name recognition probably net him more than enough campaign contributions to outspend competitors by a ton, and it's not like the guy's position is anything worth fighting for. He's actually listed as a Democrat but obviously it's in name only.

If you are a minority, all it takes to rise to prominence in the Republican Party is to be willing to publicly say they aren't racist and their policies aren't racist.

Where are all the workers to build the wall coming from? Seems like it would be a little tough to build the thing without using any Mexican labor. I just had my roof replaced and I don't think there was an American in the crew. Meantime, the conditions seem a bit harsh out there. Not to mention remote. Not an easy commute I'd say. Then there's the logistics of getting all the materials out there. I can see why it would be a rather expensive project.

I could be wrong, but the plans may involve chain gangs and waterboarding.

Reading more on the guy, the bolded appears to be incorrect. Apparently a local group purchased $400k in ads against him, Michael Bloomberg's PAC jumped in with $150k against him also. The guy got funds and support from radio people and the NRA but unclear how much. I'm trying to figure out why all the resources over a Sheriff spot.

But he's an extreme Tea Partier who calls himself a Democrat, a conspiracy nutter with a graduate degree, a black cop with a cowboy hat, who opposes of Black Lives Matter, an NRA guy telling citizens to shoot first when Milwaukee has an atrocious crime problem...honestly there's so much going on here I kind of see the entertainment value. I'd be horrified to have him here but if Wisconsin folk will take him lol I'll play along.

To reporters in China, Trump sounds very familiar, using tactics the Communist Party has used for years against reporters.
