But now let's say that for some reason all able bodied woman decide that it was extremely important to reach their potential in that race and trained accordingly. Restricting this scenario to those between 20 and 50 for the sake of simplicity, would any of you disagree that more than half of all woman would be able to beat all but perhaps the top 3% of men? (Gonna guess that's about four hours and fifteen minutes if not slower.) Present day men that is, who rarely have the ambition to get good at the marathon.
The same is true regarding adeptness at algebra, probability and basic logic. Even in the unlikely case that certain races were genetically less talented at this stuff, that difference is certainly smaller than the genetic difference in running between men and woman. And given that the aversion among white people, especially Americans, to get good at those three subjects is at least as much as there is to long distance running, it means that any time that a minority group decided that they could surpass white people by concentrating on these subject they could easily do it. I actually would like to get involved in such a project.
Here's a concrete example where your surpassing project is already underway: music made in the USA has been dominated by one particular minority during the last 100 years - blues, jazz, rock and roll, R&B, rap - 4 or 5 major music forms have originated in one minority population.
So there's also bluegrass, country, and probably something else, but backwoods southerm is also a minority.
