More evidence that Trump's NDAs aren't worth much. Trump's lawyers are no match for this lady representing herself.

Thanks! This view was somehow simultaneously the standard position that’s ridiculous to oppose AND a straw man nobody actually believes.

Huh? Why?

(I guess someone else was making that argument...)
But expected utility differs between people. I may view the marginal dollar at a net worth of $1mm as worth 80% of one at $100k and you might view it as worth 40% as much. I don't think either view is right or wrong and I don't think we should seek to assign a value to it.

Other people (notably Wooderson) have argued the forceful seizure of wealth should happen and resistance should be met with death on this forum.

The whole tax on unrealized gains thread is a strawman/goal post shift. The original argument was just about whether Bezos is an ahole or not and that's really what it's been all along. No one, not CDL/IEC, ecriture, Fly or any of the other guillotiners are really here for the tax debate. It's all about whether he's your Howard Roark or Daniel Plainview.

Everyone at his job hates her because she tried to make them stop scamming people and scamming people is literally their business model lol so he assumes "hating Elizabeth Warren" is a thing ****ing anyone does.

What other 2p2 poster hates her, CDL?

Anyone who thinks wealth correlates to merit under unrestrained capitalism should read one CDL post then ask him if he's homeless
08-17-2018 , 01:31 PM
The wealth=merit idea didn't have that much to do with Trump beating Hillary, but it did have something to do with Trump winning the nomination. Numbskulls still think he has to be smart because he made a lot of money.

I do have another account but it is not banned as far as I am aware. It is not CDL. IP check will confirm.

It was partially this. The more problematic issue was numbskulls thinking that his wealth made him incorruptible.

I think Bezos is an *******, but that he should still be allowed to keep his wealth as it pertains to his ownership stake in Amazon.

I don't think many posters on 2p2 hate her which is exactly the reason that I said "I hate Elizabeth Warren as much, if not more, than probably any poster on this site."

My statement was factual. It was also preceding a statement where I suggest this specific plan might be viable.

Wealth does correlate to merit. That correlation is nowhere near 1, but its also not 0.

When I was young and my little brother wanted a toy or comic book that I didn't use anymore I would give it to him, but only after he did a sufficiently enthusiastic tap dance while singing "I want that thing" until I doubled over in laughter. I feel like we could arrange a similar requirement for unrealized gains.

I blame the voters. Even most dem voters would be offended if you said America was never great. This is what's wrong with Americans and their false American identity of being the world leader in being the good guys.
