Steel companies and unions playing ads on Fox and Friends to grab Trump's attention. Think the advisors need to start playing 30 second video ads with American flags waving to get his attention.

This tax is called the Chicken Tax as it went into effect in 1963 because of a trade war over Euros taxing American chicken.

Here are a couple interesting consequences:

For cars the EU has a 10% tariff for those from the US and the US has a 2.5% tariff on the other way around.

Does a trade war harm Russia as much as it harms EU, China, US and others?

It doesn’t make sense to do a trade war; I’m wondering if it’s trump’s stupidity or it’s a directive from Putin in order to further destabilize the global economy and Russia’s enemies so they can try to move up the ladder in global power

Russia's economy is already FUBAR so I'm not sure it matters much, but the key win for them is that it weakens the alliance between the US and the EU.
