Also seems like hand the regulation keys to the industry may have contributed the Arkema plant failure.

And he's just started dismanntling everything. Private space proponent at NASA. Mine safety violator in charge of mine safety. DeVry institute guy in charge of for profit college regs. Etc.

It's only going to get worse. Yay that there are some professionals left at FEMA for now.
Yeah, trust me, I'm not saying, "It'll all be okay, the President doesn't have any real power..."

More like, "Hey, hundreds/thousands of people may not die due to FEMA incompetence next week!"

Assuming we fade a nuclear holocaust under Trump, he'll likely never get much blame for the many thousands of deaths he causes by speeding up global warming through deregulation and putting science deniers at the heads of important agencies. When a Category 5 monster hits a major city in like 2030, and ~2 degrees of ocean temperature made the difference in it being a Category 3 or Category 5, that'll be on Trump... But that won't stick in the eyes of the public.

Yeah, I've often reflected on this as well. Worth pointing out that this is not unique to religious people. For instance, I believe that money cannot buy happiness, but I don't really live my life as though I believe it. Those kind of beliefs operate on a different level than, e.g., my belief that I cannot touch a hot stove.

What various spiritual traditions usually refer to as "insight" or "enlightenment" is in part a process of converting these superficial beliefs into something more intrinsic and deeply held. Insight is less seeing something new and more getting a deep gut level feel for the truth of something which one already thinks is true.

The Trump do-over where is interacts with Harvey victims is probably the most he has talked to "the blacks" other than Ben Carson.

The second paragraph is interesting.

Regarding the first, you should join my anarcho-syndicalist-utopian-cooperative. It's moving into phase 2 next weekend.

EPA hasn't been checking on their Superfund sites (basically heavily polluted sites put under EPA control for cleanup) in Houston but the AP has

Quote:
The statement confirmed the AP’s reporting that the EPA had not yet been able to physically visit the Houston-area sites, saying the sites had “not been accessible by response personnel.” EPA staff had checked on two Superfund sites in Corpus Christi on Thursday and found no significant damage.

AP journalists used a boat to document the condition of one flooded Houston-area Superfund site, but accessed others with a vehicle or on foot. The EPA did not respond to questions about why its personnel had not yet been able to do so.
Kind of embarrassing for Trump to bag on the media for not braving the hurricane and then have the AP do the EPA's job for them

Zero chance trump could explain what a superfund site is.

I prayed for a Labor Day tweet thanking THE TROOPS. My tweet-based deity usually delivers.

Obama messed up by writing a note for Trump during the handover of power. He should have filmed a YouTube video instead. This will go down as one of the biggest whoopsie daisies in history although it’s not fair to blame obama for trump’s inability to read.

09-03-2017 , 12:29 PM
And Russia.

Just when you think trump has said his dumbest thing. Boom outcomes the threat to stop trade with china.

No human will ever be as stupid in any role across the rest of time.
