The White House Has Pitched a Nominee For Manhattan's Powerful US Attorney Opening

Quote:
The White House is considering Geoffrey Berman, an attorney who practices in New Jersey and New York and one of Rudolph Giuliani’s law partners, to lead the US attorney’s office in Manhattan — one of the most high-profile federal law enforcement jobs in the country.
Is he ever gonna take an action for America and not himself? I mean, JFC, he could even do BOTH in a lot of cases and still chooses against the US.

Sorry MSM, but this ain't incompetence. Talking to people like a bozo, butchering history, or science, or the law, even that stuff is part incompetence and part deliberately controversial. But "bad" policy decisions, appointments/nominations, personal rule or law tweaks, and executive orders...these are purposefully done IMO. Even a complete buffoon would accidentally help America out some of the time. But Trump shows a clear allergy to helping the country, much like his unwillingness to criticize dictators and/or fascist systems, or a complete inability to go against Putin in any way, shape or form.

Eh, Giuliani is a partner at Greenberg Traurig, which I'm sure has like 200+ partners, so I wouldn't really read too much into that fact here.

I'm not saying this as a general prescriptive v descriptive grammar thing as I tend to come down more on the prescriptive side. Fewer v less is kind of unique among prescriptive rules in having just been made up by some guy and not ever having reflected how the language was properly used.

So? It's still countable.
Tiny brain: I need to follow prescriptivist grammar rules because that's THE WAY THE LANGUAGE IS SPOKEN.
Medium brain: Prescriptivism is bunk and correct grammar is whatever people say in practice.
Large brain: I should follow prescriptivist grammar rules anyways so I sound smart.
Galactic brain: Technically I think you meant to say you're a *usage* Nazi.

Yeah IDK what happened there to be honest. The rant was totally an overreaction to that story, yet it somehow made it into the same post.

Trump sees opioid segment on fox and friends and decides to have a briefing. He's retweeted several fox and friends stories this morning smh.

Aside from maybe a massive perp walk out of the White House, there's not much I'd want to see happen more than all of MSM coordinating together to call him "Fake President Trump" every mention for a few weeks.

you admit that you don't want a free and independent thinking press but rather a lock-step coordinated one. So much for believing in fundamental American values.

Also, nobody actually follows the rule in all circumstances because it results in some truly horrendous sounding sentences. Anyone think any of these sound right?

"Netflix costs fewer than 10 dollars a month!"
"Usain Bolt can run 100 metres in fewer than 10 seconds"
"Well, that's one fewer thing to worry about!"

The President will add the 15-0 vote on N Korea sanctions to the "Trump and America are Winning list" I know you guys are watching for his big wins when you're not trying to distract us from them.
