They go easy on Bernie because he's a doddering old man who has never accomplished anything significant in office. They turned the smear campaign up to 11 on Warren because her career focus - consumer protection and financial regulation - is a real threat to the moneyed interests. Lizzie scares them, Bernie doesn't.

Competing Alt-Right 'Free Speech' Rallies Reveal Infighting Over White Nationalism

All your favorite punchable Nazis are getting together to rally in DC, except there's so much inside slapfighting that they're organizing two competing rallies.

They actively court the more bigoted and gullible of his supporters.

Didnt all the polls during the primary have bernie absolutely destroying trump? They had hillary winning by like 3-5 points but bernie beating him by like 10-15.

Plus he's the most vocal anti trump and anti AHCA dem out there.

They go easy on Bernie because he's an old white guy. They hate Warren because they really, really hate smart women who won't shut the **** up.

Seriously guys, these are absolutely atrocious people. Like if you are a normal person living in a big city it is probably hard to imagine people this terrible actually exist.

They did. Nevertheless, the GOPe and their financial backers appear to consider Warren a far more credible threat than Sanders. I agree with them.

However, Congress has the power to add to the number of justices on the Supreme Court. If Democrats have control of all three branches in 2020 and they don't add justices, going nuclear if necessary, they're the worst strategists of all-time. It's the only logical response to the combination of Garland's seat being stolen by an illegitimate president. It could be the only way to change the balance of power on a court that will not match the will of the country on many, many issues at that point.

It's especially critical with voter suppression and gerrymandering going on as well.
They're starting to get close to this as it is. I'm as far to the left as they get, but even I recognize the stupidity of spending 50x more time and energy on transgender bathroom issues than jobs. Not to mention they just stuffed $50 million into trying to win a single House seat for a year and a half, then went out and lost by the same margin they did in South Carolina, where they spent 12 cents.

Call me optimistic, but I think he's going to hold on until 2020. Trump is an affront to anyone with a brain. Unless he is literally dying, I don't think he's going to want to give Trump that power. I could even see Thomas feeling this way.

Perhaps it's all wishful thinking. I guess we'll see.

Yes. Because he's considered more honest, more trustworthy, more attractive to independents, and has probably never sent an email in his life.

Nuking the filibuster would be smarter than court-packing.

Why? Bernie is way more popular and is known as having incredible integrity. Him speaking out against the GOP is far more damaging than warren. Dude produces huge crowd, his donation base is one of the largest ever.

Only thing Warren has for her is she's younger.

To me it seems the GOP want to face Warren.
06-25-2017 , 01:37 PM
GOP wants no part of Warren. She cuts right to the chase and doesn't get sidetracked by their bull****.

Why does everyone say this? The only ones who care about transgender bills are Republicans so that they can discriminate against them.

Warren sounds too smart. Trumkins hate that.

I think the GOPe, the DEMe and the donor class for both parties hate both Bernie and Lizzie 11 out of 10.

You might think WaPo would treat Professor Warren a little better, but they'll run the same "THE DEMOCRATS WOULD BE INSANE TO NOMINATE WARREN" headlines that they did with Bernie.

"Elizabeth Warren is a grandstanding phony"

Dunno what's to be expected from Bernie in the US of A. Certainly he didn't accomplish as much as Dick Cheney, but a Congressperson/Senator isn't a dictator.

Seems like a pretty fair report of someone who did well considering the politics of the times.

Sad that RV and others are frustrated and leaving. Nobody is rage-quitting Trump and he's committing crimes regularly and lying to the public in 84% of his statements.

I mean geez, 492 blatant public lies in just 5 months. What. The. ****? Doesn't the average president tell complete falsehooods to the public like 20 times in 8 years, if that?

Quitting 2p2 isn't necessarily a "rage quit". He said it was a time suck and it is.

Warren is a competent politician who operates in the real world. Sanders is a starry eyed dreamer.

I also find the cult of Sanders to be borderline creepy.

Fine. Nobody's time-suck quitting Trump.

Fox news story changing to even if he did collude with Russia it's not a crime.

Deny, deny, deny, then it's not a crime anyway so why you mad?
