Namath pointed out the GOP talking heads seldom say anything bad about Bernie. It is strange because they go hard after Warren. I think maybe they see Bernie has good poll numbers with their base (lol), so they leave him alone even though the donors surely loathe him. Rest assured, however, they have been stockpiling oppo on him continuously since the primaries, and if they catch the scent that he plans on running in 2020, expect BankFraudGate to rapidly become Emailz Redux.

They go easy on Bernie because he's a doddering old man who has never accomplished anything significant in office. They turned the smear campaign up to 11 on Warren because her career focus - consumer protection and financial regulation - is a real threat to the moneyed interests. Lizzie scares them, Bernie doesn't.

They did. Nevertheless, the GOPe and their financial backers appear to consider Warren a far more credible threat than Sanders. I agree with them.

Not to mention they just stuffed $50 million into trying to win a single House seat for a year and a half, then went out and lost by the same margin they did in South Carolina, where they spent 12 cents.

Call me optimistic, but I think he's going to hold on until 2020. Trump is an affront to anyone with a brain. Unless he is literally dying, I don't think he's going to want to give Trump that power. I could even see Thomas feeling this way.

Perhaps it's all wishful thinking. I guess we'll see.

Why? Bernie is way more popular and is known as having incredible integrity. Him speaking out against the GOP is far more damaging than warren. Dude produces huge crowd, his donation base is one of the largest ever.

Only thing Warren has for her is she's younger.

I think the GOPe, the DEMe and the donor class for both parties hate both Bernie and Lizzie 11 out of 10.

You might think WaPo would treat Professor Warren a little better, but they'll run the same "THE DEMOCRATS WOULD BE INSANE TO NOMINATE WARREN" headlines that they did with Bernie.
