Now... i understand the counter arguments. I had this debate over and over again... why would we give those ass hats a platform? They will only recruit more asshats. I agree that there is a Trump cult but the size and power of it is overestimated. Remember, Trump lost the popular vote by almost 3 million. And Trump is less popular now than he was when he was inaugurated, even among his supporters. The true Trumpkins will never be swayed so you have to ignore them and focus on the millions of people who did vote for Trump but now (or will soon) realize how terrible he is and want a better option.

How is it overrated, if it was enough to get him elected? What more could they want. They might be a minority but they won... sure they had the advantage of the ****ed up electoral system and gerrymandering, but they still do have this advantage...

Not everyone that voted for Trump is a cult-like worshipper of him. If the current situation continues for the next 4 years and the Dems choose a candidate that can appeal to rural white people then Trump will probably lose the next election.
