The attempted spin on the Merkle quote is ****ing outrageous

****ing weakling.

A whole goddamn administration of weak ****ing children.

Last week, our Trumpesque governor called a reporter "really sick" and a "#PeepingTom" for walking up to the front door of a house the governor had allegedly just bought and knocking on it.

Then somebody shot at a local newspaper's headquarters (Lexington, KY Herald-Leader), breaking a bunch of windows but not hurting anyone.

Meh, it's not even Spicey's fault. If someone tells you to sell **** and then complains when you can't sell it then it's his fault for making you sell ****. Though I guess he's not totally blameless for being a spineless ***** and actually trying to sell that ****.

It's not spin anymore, it's flat out lie after lie with a few non-answers mixed in when the lie is too obvious.

Then he couldn't even name a disproven fake news example lol. The best he had was an opinion he called false.

Yep, these briefings are short lived.

the **** is this dumbass ****? not his fault? LOL right, he didn't make the decision to go out there and publicly stump for a known liar and scumbag, whose atrocious agenda he furthers more and more with every weak obfuscation and denial that he presents. "not his fault" lol **** you, normalizing and giving passes for this complete ****ery

He's not a slave FFS. I guess Trump could have some compromising pictures of Spicey with a dead body or something.

Yeah he's definitely a weak person. He's worked for the GOP his entire career and I'm sure his whole social circle is Republicans so if he got up and quit he'd be seen as a traitor and maybe shunned? Or I guess he could spin it as "seeing the light" and write a tell all book and get a PR job somewhere else.

Kurt Eichenwald is having a field day on Twitter.

Eventually Trump will have his Katrina or Lehman Bros collapse or whatever that will really lay bare how much of an absolute disaster Trump and his administration is. I mean he and his regime have been so incompetent already during good economic times, no foreign policy crisis, no natural disasters, etc. I can't even imagine what would happen when there is a real problem.
05-30-2017 , 03:25 PM
If the real problem is a major terrorist incident in the US then he may even harden part of his support base though.
05-30-2017 , 03:27 PM
dirtbag has actually tweeted pushing for removing the senate legislative minority protection rules today so he only needs 51 votes to pass nothing-care and tax cuts.

His supporters will continue to support him, his detractors will continue to point out his many, many flaws.

Sure i know, we invented it

There are still a few checkboxes missing but the GOP is working towards it. Of course we can give it other names that might be more fitting, like Nationalism, Authoritarianism or Asshatery. Bottom line is, if you fight Asshatery with Asshatery it doesnt matter anymore because whoever wins is a asshat.

And this is also true for suppression of free speech. How do you have the moral high ground against people who disregard the rights of minority's if you disregard the rights of minority´s? Even if those minority's are racist asshats.

"All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law."

Now... i understand the counter arguments. I had this debate over and over again... why would we give those ass hats a platform? They will only recruit more asshats. For me it is the price to pay for freedom. But again i had this debate often enough to fully understand were people come from who dont want to give even a inch to those people and i accept that opinion since there is also a good reasoning behind it, but my opinion differs.

His base is either hardened or too stupid to be swayed. The goal is not coverting his base. There is nothing that he could ever do to make that happen.

The goal is to make him hated by the other 80% of the population thus killing his chances of winning or passing anything.

We spend all our time worrying about his racist knuckle-dragging base. Those peoples are write-offs. We win with the rest of the population.

You're misrepresenting the counter arguments though. Nobody says the ass hats can't have a platform. They most assuredly can. As can the people who want to stand at the foot of the platform and tell the asshat what a ****ing asshat he is right to his stupid asshat face.

The asshat then claims he is getting shouted down and having his rights violated and we laugh and laugh and laugh

I'm sure some of his hardcore supporters will be with him come hell or high water but he will take a big hit in popularity if the unemployment rate goes up, health care premiums skyrocket, etc.

You're underestimating how brainwashed his supporters are.

This isn't politics. It's a cult.
05-30-2017 , 03:49 PM
I agree that there is a Trump cult but the size and power of it is overestimated. Remember, Trump lost the popular vote by almost 3 million. And Trump is less popular now than he was when he was inaugurated, even among his supporters. The true Trumpkins will never be swayed so you have to ignore them and focus on the millions of people who did vote for Trump but now (or will soon) realize how terrible he is and want a better option.

The new bots are already getting active

It's just so remarkable how open they are with this ****

How is it overrated, if it was enough to get him elected? What more could they want. They might be a minority but they won... sure they had the advantage of the ****ed up electoral system and gerrymandering, but they still do have this advantage...
05-30-2017 , 04:03 PM
Not everyone that voted for Trump is a cult-like worshipper of him. If the current situation continues for the next 4 years and the Dems choose a candidate that can appeal to rural white people then Trump will probably lose the next election.

A bit too far there Kathy Griffin. Might want to tone it down

Quote:
The outspoken comedian posed for a photo shoot with controversial photographer Tyler Shields in which she is holding a bloodied mask of President Trump.

TMZ published the gory photo from Griffin's photo session with the famed Shields, known for his shocking pictures.

According to the gossip site, Griffin joked with Shields on set they would need to move to Mexico after the photos were released or fear imprisonment.
