This might actually upset them, if they ever find out. Unfortunately, they will just continue to redirect their anger at the media, Democrats, and IC instead of the man who's doing all the damage.

Absolutely, if the question could arguably lead to an incriminating response (even if the person is not guilty of anything), it is a good way to get out of testifying about a subject the person doesn't want to testify about. Happens at the state level where I work all the time, when people don't want to testify against their buddies, etc.

Edit: That said, that is not what is going on with Flynn.

I'm pretty sure the lack of tweets is due to Trump not having his personal cell phone signed up for a roaming plan and not being able to figure out how to connect to his hotel's wifi.

Absolutely, a DRE who has multiple bad arrests like this should be retrained or fired.

I'm confused. If I'm subpoenaed I can just take the 5th because I don't feel like testifying against my buddy?

Doesn't this nullify the value of subpoenas?

There is no standard before one can use the 5th? Why doesn't everyone just do so?

Your actual guilt or innocence is mostly irrelevant to this calculus.
If you are a witness to a crime, please, for the love of god, talk to the police!

You'd be surprised. This isn't all that many.

There are people on Twitter who tweet 100+ times on a daily basis.

And how many of those does he have to personally and fully contradict before his supporters stop quoting him as a source?

No, the question has to arguably lead to an incriminating response. Here's an example: You're an eyewitness to a shooting where your friend is the shooter, but the prosecution needs to eliminate you as having done the shooting since you were the only other person there. You are asked did you shoot anyone that night? You don't want to testify against your friend so you plead the fifth. A scenario like that happenned once in one of my cases.

Thursday is Montana special election. If Quist can pull the upset we might see the rats jumping off the trump train. Most likely he comes up short and we have to wait until Georgia, but it's much closer than expected again.

I mean obviously, you'd point out the guy on the spot if the crime just committed. But, if its something where you drive to the police department and make a statement, you should get a lawyer.
