The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Last week tonight really nailed it this week. I think I am hitting my tolerance level for paying attention to your awful political system. Your system is so broken I really don't see a way forward other than total destruction and rebuilding.

Look at the media today. Last week was the most scandalous week in American political history and today we get wall-wall fawning over trump, a ****ing atheist, walking around a place where some fictitious things supposedly happened millennia ago. The media can't stop talking about how important and presidential it all is and how trump is doing a great thing.

CNN literally just broke from thier fawning coverage for Five Things You Need to Know and managed to give the fact that trump wants to cut $800 billion from Medicade a total of 3 seconds coverage.

Your system is broken is every way. Both parties are awful, your legal system is feckless, your media is gutless and the electorate are the dumbest in history.

All of this means trump will not be impeached and is a favorite to win a second term.

She's not comfortable walking closely with Donald. She's walking slower, lagging behind at first, and then she uses that carpet wing to get space away from him, and then when she runs out of that carpet he and others notice she's not walking on the carpet. Donald reaches back to pull her back on the carpet, but she doesn't want him ordering her. She moves back onto the carpet because the man to her left moves to face her and direct her back on the carpet. At the end Trump turns right, and she turns left to try to walk away, and the man again directs her back along the path.

Her body language screams she hates that man, and she doesn't look to him for direction, and she doesn't want to go where he goes.

It is worth pointing out in the midst of all this Iran-bashing by Trump that Iran is actually pushing closer and closer to democracy. In fact they just had an election with 70% turnout (higher than 2016 US) and elected their version of a liberal over a hardline Islamist guy. Meanwhile Saudi Arabia is still a dictatorship where protestors are jailed and beheaded and women don't really have rights.

They both seem to be sponsors of terrorism, though.

'The Drug Whisperer': Drivers arrested while stone cold sober
http://www.khou.com/news/nation-now/...ober/439206628
Quote:
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Drunk driving arrests are down sharply after decades of aggressive enforcement, while drugged driving arrests are climbing.

Georgia now has more than 250 officers with special 'drug recognition expert' training.

But WHAS11's partner station WXIA's Chief Investigator Brendan Keefe discovered some drivers are getting arrested for driving stoned -- even when their drug tests came back clean.

Cobb County Police Officer T.T. Carroll: "You said you haven't had anything to drink tonight?"

Katelyn Ebner: "Not tonight, no."
Officer Carroll: "Not tonight, okay. One of the things we do is we ask people to blow through this thing, okay."

Katelyn Ebner crossed the center line, and got pulled over on the way home from work. She works in a bar, and does not drink while at work.

Officer Carroll: "Blow real hard, blow 'til I ask you to stop -- keep going, keep going -- you can stop. Okay."

No, she had not been drinking. All tests for alcohol came up empty. But the Cobb County police officer who pulled her over was not done yet.

Officer Carroll: "I'm going to ask you a question, okay? When was the last time you smoked marijuana?"
Katelyn Ebner: "Oh, I don't do that. I can give you a drug test right now."
Officer Carroll: "You don't smoke marijuana?"
Katelyn Ebner: "I do not, no."
Officer Carroll: "Okay. Well, you're showing me indicators that you have been smoking marijuana, okay?"

"I didn't realize that you could get arrested for something that you didn't do," Ebner told Keefe. "That never crossed my mind until it happened to me."
Officer Carroll: "Watch your wrists for me, I don't want to pinch you."
Katelyn Ebner: "I'm going to jail for marijuana?"
Officer Carroll: "No, ma'am -- not possession, unless I find any in your car. I believe you're impaired by the marijuana you've smoked."
Katelyn Ebner: "Okay, so when I do a drug test, I'll be free to go, correct?"
Officer Carroll: "You're going to jail, ma'am. Okay? I don't have a magical drug test that I can give you right now."

Yes, but Saudi Arabia hijacked our planes and flew them into our buildings. We should have invaded Saudi Arabia instead of Iraq and Afghanistan. It saddens me that this is not widely mentioned among the populace.

Jesus ****ing Christ what a farce this entire Middle East bull**** is! Trump wants peace in the Middle East in EXACTLY the same way Miss America wants peace. He has put people in charge of efforts with no political experience or knowledge about the long history of the conflict.

Any media source giving this even a moments credibility should forever be written off as a total joke.

Fun fact: In Saudi Arabia, there are religious fashion police that go around with canes in public areas. If they see a woman with her ankles or any other skin showing, they'll wack them right on that spot with the cane, ordering them to cover up.

I wonder how many conservative Christian Republicans would support an American version of this.

Every single one.

Watching people play video games is the hugest thing with the kids on the YouTube. Starcade was ahead of its time.

Trump's prayer was 100% some version of...

Hey god. We both know you don't exist but just in case. Can you get the fake media to stop being so mean to me? I'm obviously great and can't figure out why I'm the most persecuted person in history, ever. Can you please make sure my company makes a lot of money. I'm exhausted and hate this job because it's so tough, bigly. Can you help me get my tax cut so I can quit and get back to the golf course. As you know I'm a great golfer. The best. Amazing.

Trump looks like he's enjoying the Orb's "glow" a bit too much.

re: dog whisperer and driving high

i got pulled over one night leaving a skate park and the cop was one of those "drug recognition experts" (in NC). he searched my car, found nothing, then took me down to the goddamn hospital for a blood test before throwing me in a holding cell all night. they charged me with DUI (for marijuana) and released me, without having found anything on me and without having a result from the drug test back yet. i pled not guilty and my lawyer got it dismissed on the grounds that 1) the protocol for the "expert" detection status was super weak and should be discredited and 2) moving eye tests, which he based his premise of me being high on, are actually inadmissable in court as evidence.

we had to actually go to trial and fight it in court tho

Yup and the arrest still goes on your record. The arrest (without any conviction) can be used later on to **** with you on a traffic stop or other run-in with the cops, on the grounds that you have "a record." Nevermind the fact that it was a bogus arrest to begin with.
05-22-2017 , 09:49 AM
It's just another example of how our police are not focused on fighting actual crime, but are largely focused on harassing and extracting lots of money from people who may not be able to fight back. Remember how Commander Riker went on a Klingon vessel for a while, and his Klingon shipmates made sure he only had Klingon food to eat. The idea was that by not eating he would be weak and vulnerable to assassination. Well, with the police in this country the idea is that by attacking people constantly and making sure they remain anxious, afraid, and scrambling to make ends meet, you reduce their ability to fight back. People don't have time to organize and do activism when they are busy fighting bogus drug charges or trying to get a new job after they get fired because of a bogus drug arrest.

The reason you're frustrated is because there is no smoking gun, which is because Trump isn't running around deliberately breaking laws. In the past two weeks we saw an FBI director get fired, which both parties wanted gone for being bad at his job. (Just ask the other posters on this forum if they think he was doing a good job in October 2016) We saw a special counsel get hired which will consolidate all the other investigations into one, and make it a fact based investigation, which is a good thing for Trump. The reason it took so long to appoint him was that there still is no solid evidence that any significant crime by an American was committed and we generally don't appoint special counsels to investigate conspiracy theories. Russia committed crimes but we generally don't appoint special counsels to investigate foreign criminals.

Its frustrating when you want to get someone so badly that you have to distort reality and hope for him to be a criminal when there is no factual evidence to think he is one. You went so far as to say last week was the most scandalous week in American political history, and yet we wait patiently for the first evidence of real law breaking while the media thrives on innuendo to keep the story going.

I feel your frustration.

He's just saying you don't need to reiterate every single post that America sucks. We got that point 1000 posts ago.
