Noooo. As mentioned before, there's a word for that: normalizing. It's exactly what we CAN'T let happen.

so about that lumber tariff

Canada’s government circulated a memo from the Washington-based National Association of Home Builders that estimates the measure will increase the cost of U.S. homes and eliminate 8,241 full-time U.S. jobs.

Congrats, you're unemployed for no reason and it's all Trump's fault

If Mnuchin didn't just misspeak, Trump plans to get rid of the employer healthcare deduction and the state and local tax deduction.

That should go over well!
04-26-2017 , 01:51 PM
This is insane:
- Eliminate all tax deductions other than mortgage interest and charitable. So no more state and local tax deductions, no more property tax deduction.
- Eliminate AMT
- Eliminate estate tax

The thing is though that the state and local tax deductions are really only a thing in big liberal states, so worthless scum that voted for Trump and live outside of NY/CA/etc. are happy about it.

Simplification:
- Eliminate targeted tax breaks that mainly benefit the wealthiest taxpayers

followed by:
- Protect the home ownership and charitable gift tax deductions
- Repeal the Alternative Minimum Tax
- Repeal the death tax

Just absolutely amazing how brazenly they can spout their bull****. Like, the definition of tax breaks that mainly benefit the wealthiest taxpayers are the home ownership and charitable gift tax deductions. Same thing with the elimination of AMT and estate tax.

Eliminating the employer health care deduction is crazy. Average people don't even know that is a deduction, they will flip their **** when their take home pay goes down by 10%+.
04-26-2017 , 01:55 PM
Trump's tax reform plan is to grow the economy and create millions of jobs. Dude is a genius. Why didn't anyone else ever think of that?

Congrats super rich people!

Ofc, this won't grow the economy outside of them and people are ****ed, but it'll be someone else's fault because #MAGA.

I didn't think of this. But I don't think employer health care is a deduction - it's just a non-taxable benefit. I would be stunned^2 if this is included, but their incompetence and lunacy continues to surprise...

Man they aren't even trying to hide it. Repealing the estate tax? Seriously?
04-26-2017 , 01:58 PM
Can anyone just once please call out the bull**** of the "death tax" and how it's a giveaway to multimillionaires.

Also can someone please call out when these idiots confuse the debt and deficit.

Welp, people seem to be jumping on how obviously contradictory this is, so that's something:

Expect to hear ALOT about the plight of family farms.
04-26-2017 , 02:00 PM
I don't see any benefit to reducing the number of tax brackets.
04-26-2017 , 02:04 PM
It just boggles my mind how the GOP is able to sell to the American people that the estate/death tax is some terrible thing that affects the average joe when in reality it only affects the super wealthy. How are they able to get away with this when the issue has been around for decades?

It doesn't take that much farmland to get over the #, and there's no easy way for them to repay the estate tax on it. Nobody wants to have to sell part of the farm. This is what always gets cited, but the # of family farms are certainly shrinking. Corps and $$$$ is winning that race.

Ofc, the law itself will mostly be for trump and billionaires to sustain their own empires.

It won't create jobs. Think that's been proven repeatedly over and over but hey why let facts get in the way of narratives.

People with lots of $, when they get more they don't go "hey let's hire people" they just stash it or buy something like houses to make them more unaffordable for avg joe.
