Yeah, the truth can be hard to watch sometimes.

You know the US produces more coal today than it ever did in the past, right? There might be qualifications to this, like maybe the coal produced today is of lesser quality, but the actual amount is way higher now than it was in like the 50s or 60s or whatever. And I think you'd find something similar if you checked manufacturing numbers.

Remember a week ago when I said BS got super giddy over brown people dying and he wanted me banned and I told him to show like, one post where he had compassion for a minority?

Just great awareness.

In other "great awareness" news.

Manufacturing output has doubled since the 80s.

There are just fewer jobs because we've automated so much **** and the jobs left don't pay much because they can be filled, for the most part, by any breathing human being.

Also a ton of coal is produced in Wyoming nowadays, it's preferred over Appalachian coal because it pollutes less.

Ok my bad. Let me rephrase, in most industrialized country's coal is dying except for the USA since we don't have climate change there and coal is the fuel of the future.

Isn't "Trump scraps tax plan" fake news?

Everyone knows tax reform/cuts is a collaborative effort and those campaign templates are just to give a general view how the candidates feel about taxes. And most estimates were that reform wouldn't be coming until later in the year anyway.

Seems like a nothing burger.

lol if you think any college is turning down a blank check. They can't wait to let them all in and roll in the free money.

More educated is the school's problem. High school was a lot harder a long time ago, need to go back to that and challenge the kids instead of teachers just being a babysitter with a degree and boring all the smart kids to death.

Lolololol "high school was a lot harder a long time ago"

HS isn't *that* much different for my kids than it was for me other than people care about grades a LOT more now. The earlier grades had way way more work than they did in my day though.

spicer calls Russia ally insists assad has to go, others saying russia knew about chem attack before it happened. Meanwhile, we're escalating things in North Korea.

China and Russia at the same time--Trump just playing 4D chess, which apparently means the chess board got obliterated.

I think high school is fundamentally worse because of the advancement of standard tests over the last 25-30 years. They are awful and absolutely havd lead to inferior education.

Spicer said something else that was weird this afternoon. A reporter asked about a coalition and he replied (paraphrasing) yes, we're in the process of forming a coalition against Syria, Iran, Russia and North Korea.

Anybody know what he meant? I know it sounds alarmist, but it's like he's dropping classified WW3 smack talk from the podium.

BBC reporting the American missle attack damaged or destroyed 1 in 5 Syrian military aircraft, Mattis quoted stating Syria would be unwise to use chemical weapons ever again.

Trump slappies gonna eat this **** up.

When I was a wee boy in the 70s I was promised all fossil fuels would be exhausted by the turn of the century. Thus I choose to believe fossil fuels don't exist and we are being sold illuminati imitation fossil fuels. Our gas and coal has no more fossils in them then the watch brand.

Considering all the praise 45* got from the lamestream media for his original strike, that's the next logical step.

Agreed. The testing has been poisonous.

Obama was bad in Yemen and Trump is determined to be much much worse. Besides the biggest weapons sales in history to SA, and our selling them and their use of illegal weapons like cluster bombs we are dramatically stepping things up. Trump has put boots on the ground and massacred innocents. But, that's the little picture. The US is going to participate in an assault on a port in Northern Yemen.

He said, “From our point of view, it would be disastrous in terms of humanitarian impact if the coalition were to disrupt the aid pipeline and commercial pipeline that moves through that port.” He said about 70% of all of the food supply to northern Yemen — where most of the population is — goes through that port. “In terms of aid, nearly all of the food aid that goes into Yemen also runs into that port.”
This is at a time where:

Quote:
Over 17 million people are under threat of famine in war-torn Yemen, making it one of the world’s worst hunger crises, a United Nations body and its humanitarian partners warned on Wednesday.
And what are we doing? The Saudis are fighting along side Al Queda in this war. This is ****ed up way beyond all recognition. This is going to be a humanitarian crisis ten thousand times worse than the gas attack. This is going to make Americans less safe. Who is this done for? This benefits no one but the Saudi aristocracy, oil companies and defense contractors.
