Nate Silver with a classic Sklanskian "all actors concerned are perfectly rational" take.

God yes, it would be so awful if no political content was advertiser-supported. Unthinkable.

lol the transparent wall is back. That's so you don't get hit in the head when they throw bales of drugs over it IIRC.

Don’t want to detail this thread too much. But man. What a boring ass book.

Sure the internal struggle stuff is interesting. I didn’t need 800 pages of it.

I’d agree with you but then we’d both be wrong. Moby Dick is a great book.

But what about all the hard-left shows out there that might get shut down? Like... uh... Maddow, maybe? That MSNBC guy with the goofy glasses I guess? I'd hate it if the liberal TV network that I assume must exist ever got boycotted.

We have most of the best universities in the world, if you look aside from how the system kind of sucks as a whole. I like california’s university system a lot though.

Nate also said McSally will vote like John McCain, meanwhile she has a 98% Trumpscore on his own Web site. Maybe he discovered adderall today idk

I’m 40 now. Was probably early 20s when I read it. Maybe it’s better now I’m older. Not that I’ll ever know.

I’m getting to the age where I view books to be read like Elaine views sponges.

Perhaps I’m being naive, but on it’s face, the circumstances that have put her in the Senate may lead to different outcomes than had she won Flake’s seat.

If she won an election for his seat, she arrives with a mandate to be deplorable. Instead, she loses, and then is appointed, for just 2 years, to fill the seat of McCain. I would imagine has at least a little more scrunity on her to not be McSally, but to honor whatever legacy they feel McCain left.

But then again, good chance none of that matters and she remains deplorable.
