Like, consider that a statement like "parties should come together and work out bipartisan solutions" probably has mainstream agreement in the Democratic Party, and like 1,000 people in the Republican Party who agree (and all live in suburban DC). Poisoning HRC worked because there was a ready audience for that stuff, but Trump is already radioactive to non-CHUDs, a little more poison isn't going to push them over the edge.
Well I don't know if Dems can win by
not employing the same tactics. There's just a lot of people that aren't paying attention. Impeachment makes them think, "Oh wow, looks like Trump really did something wrong. I guess I won't vote for him again."
Plus it keeps Trump on defense and stresses him out. Maybe all that stress makes him eat himself to death. Or maybe he forgets to kill some brown people because he's tweeting about witch hunts. Lots of potential upside.
We can do this and still talk about free healthcare.
